I'm spending the next three weeks in Elk County with family for the holidays and was wondering if anyone knew of any good muskie fishing in the area. I tried the East Branch Clarion River Lake, but had no luck and had a difficult time fishing from shore. I plan to look at the Clarion and Allegheny River, too. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas on places I could go to try and get some muskie.

Think right now a lot of shore fishing will be high and not easy to walk right now. How far do you wanna drive. Allegheny would be good but try to find spots below the locks. Might be easier. There’s some good lakes out this way. Can always go to Presque Isle State Park

I didn't think Lake Erie was known for Muskie. I was hoping to stay within an hour of where I'm at.

PIB gets stocked with them but it’s a hard water to fish not knowing the timing for it. The rivers are good fishing. Not sure how far it is but can always go to kinzua dam good shoreline fishing below the dam.
