Location: Moses Lake, WA | I'm still experimenting with gluing hot foil down with epoxy rather than applying heat to make it stick. 12" basswood, one rattle chamber, plexiglass squarebill, three types of hotfoil. Something of a mishmash.

Location: Moses Lake, WA | I mix painting with various forms of siding, rarely do a pure paint lure. On this lure the back was pearl red acrylic with pearl gold spots, the sides had red lacquer near the back and a green lacquer stripe down the center. I prefer lacquers to acrylics when shooting over highly reflective surfaces because they are more consistently transparent. Not much really shows up on this lure because I overamped the hot foil additions. |
