Location: Moses Lake, WA | This is the third and last of my "rockfish" lures destined for Alaska. This one was coated with a mixture of white Superglow powder paint mixed with epoxy and then overshot with the orange paint pattern. It glows like a neon sign when charged with sunlight and hopefully will be effective in depths of 200-500 feet. One rattle chamber, 12", basswood, big plastic lip which should give it some action in minimal currents.

| Yep, his lures are a combination of craft and art. I have one I got from the Musky Mission Complete auction, along with a 12" Headlock. After some thought, the Headlock went in the boat for trolling and I mounted Gringo's lure over the work bench in my shop. It makes me smile and reminds me when doing a wood working project that a 'good enough' finish is not good enough. |
