Which GPS units do you like ?? I am purchasing one this week and need some help.. I have $500.00 to spend, and I live near Georgian Bay in Canada
home of mad cows , west niles , sars, [or the flu as you Yankees call it]
so the unit has to withstand all of these.. Kidding

Look and see if you can get the old model of the Lawrence 240 they have the model out the 320, but if you can find a 240 you can probably get it for less then $500 canadain then maybe get the navionics map for G Bay its a great tool to have in the boat. I saw a couple on sale last year for cheap once the new model came out good luck in finding one but I would say its worth trying to find.

garmin units are awesome. the new cd for downloading has tons of map info. look at the gps map 76s. its a great unit good luck. these are waas enabled the lowrance is not. (better accuracy)
