Location: Eau Claire, WI | Dude...not sure where you wound up this weekend but I'm gonna troll and cast on Wissota tomorrow starting around 9:30am, proabably go until around 3:30 or 4 if I don't freeze out first... Some bays on Yellow River are froze over 3/4-1" of ice but both the little lake and big lake are still open.
Call me at home if your interested... |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Curly, Let us know how you fared out there in the frozen wasteland! Call me tomorrow anytime, just to shoot the breeze. Sorry I missed the Fondy seminar, but I ended up with business meetings the wrong day, and had to modify my schedule. |

Not sure where Greg ended up but Sluggo drove up this morning and we hit it for about 6 hours.
Trolled for 90 minutes this morning and blanked.
Casted and Sluggo got a 36 on a glider and another short fish...I blew the hookset on a mid 40's that came up and put it's mouth around a Slow Tease while it was on the dead-rise...not even a "tick" on the line...by the time I realized what happened I let out a gasp and went for it but too late...
Fun day...water temps on main lakes were 39-41... all of the little ponds in the area have about 1" of ice on them.
This week suppose to be highs in upper 40's so I'm think'n a vacation day is in order, possibly the last time I"ll get out yet this season. |
