| Just picked one up this year, just before my first trip over Memorial weekend, and I have been smoking with it since. I placed an O ring on it imediately to allow it more free play on the slide. I have been using soft six inch pulls, not hard twitches,with the rod tip facing down. This way I have had a very nice side to side slide. Now to mix this up I have occasionally brought my rod tip up to about a one o'clock position and have given very soft taps with the rod tip which makes the lure almost sit in place and make that neat little plop noise. I have had two blow ups doing that, and three catches so far this year. The three catches came after follows that were not very agressive, and all three fish were nice. 39"41"41" I have been using it on a shorter rod, one thats only 6'6", and has a bit more supple tip. I prefer this type of rod for the dog walkers because I can inply more personality to the bait. My other suggestion is just work with the bait and see what kind of inturpetations you make with the equipment you have. Its a very good surface bait that has more move than a person think.
