the last few times out on an area lake ive had muskies come up and hit my bait and strike the blades insted of the body. are these fish dumb or is it just me. i lost 4 fish cuz of it.

Had it happen to me about this time last year on a long arm spinner bait. Shortened the arm and converted more strikes.

Muskies like striking thier prey above and behind the head....if the blade is in front, I could easily see how the musky would think that the blade was the front of his potential meal!
