| hehehehe,
I think I'll let you sweat it out another day or two!!!
With much anticipation, Gregger and I started out very early Sunday morning. We were greeted by a beautiful Ontario sunrise, as we drove out from the lodge. After paying homage to the Muskie gods, we proceeded to our first spot. After several casts, Greg had a fish come up on his Doc, and this fish was making a huge wake right behind the bait. Just as I was thinking, "Here we go!", the fish disappeared. We fished several more spots, and I had a nice fish, back out of the water, take my Top Raider under, I set the hook on nothing but water. We raised another couple fish, and then it was back to the lodge for FamilyFirst for me.
Later that afternoon, we fished Muskie Alley, and raised another. After several more spots, I finally had a fish really going on the Top Raider. This fish went around on the "8" at least 7 times, right on it. It looked to be about 41". Hot on the bait, I watched this fish go around and around. I was getting dizzy, but it just did not eat the lure. Finally, it must have gotten dizzy, too, as it just disappeared to the deep. After a couple more spots, and a couple more good fish raised, we had to admit we blanked for the day, and called it a night.
I was so pumped for this day, to actually fish this match with Greg, not getting any hooks in a fish was a bit disappointing. So, War Pigs, congrats to you. You advance with that nice 36er, and I know Greg joins me in wishing you luck in the next round!
I forgot about a 29 that Gregger got. Just recalled it as I was posting pics. Oh well, there's always next year!
