Just picked up a 2005 Ranger 621. I know I read somewhere the rod tubes have caps that can be removed so that rods longer than 8' can be stored in there. Anyone have info on how to do it?

Never mind, I found what I was looking for. It was Steve Heiting that wrote about how to do it.

Take off the plastic cover/bow plate where you'd mount the bow mount locator. once thats off you'll see the tips of the rod tubes. grab a hacksaw or sawzall and cut the tips of the rod tubes off. b careful, don't cut any wires! gives you another 6-8 inches of room
