What are some of techniques that you gentlemen are using with the Squirko?

I am new to the Squirko, and I have one that seems to want to only glide to the right. I was working it pretty aggressively. Tried long hard pulls and short hard snaps. Am I overworking it? I have not tried tuning it yet, but I dont even know where to start with that venture.

Anybody else having this happen? Any advice would be appreciated.

This is only about my third year of really targeting muskies, and I would like to improve my results this year. This bait definitely looks like one that could help me do that.

No better place to ask a question like this than MuskieFIRST if you ask me. I continue to learn more and more from everyone on this site.

Thanks in advance.

I like to work the Squirko with a lot of slack line and a real quick snap. I seem to get the best action when I can hear the line slapping against the water on each snap. Great baits, keep working at it until you get it down. I have also found that on some I need to split ring the line tie and with others I don't so experiment with that.

I am far from being an expert with jerkbaits, but I work my squirko just like you would an undertaker, only with harder taps. It seems to jump around nicely with the side to side and an occasional up and down glide.
