| If you are getting a lot of active follows but no eaters should you change baits hoping to trigger a fish to feed or stay with the same style of lure that is moving the fish and maybe change the color or size? It seems that I always try a different style lure but end up later going back to what was at least getting them interested. |

Location: Illinois-Indiana | I will change baits to try and find what they want to "EAT" on that particular day.
People can't understand why I would change baits if I'm seeing fish until I get one to go on a different bait, then they understand.
There are plenty of days when all they want to do is follow, the key is to find something that will make them eat. I find that SPEED is a good trigger sometimes, try burning a bucktail or cranking that bait as fast and eratic as you can. Top water is also a good bait to trigger a following fish. |
