How was the fishing this weekend? Anyone beat up on the Muskies, and if so, what techniques were working for you?

Several of us fished Pelican for three hours yesterday celebrating Sue and I tying the knot. No muskies boated, but Troy and Zach had a big girl chasing a Zam, and Steve Van Lieshout and Darrell Mack raised a couple. Sue and I drove Foxy Lady around most of the time trying to get some break in time on the Opti, but fished the flats and Musky Bay to no avail. Lunch at Lakeview In was great, and the weather nice, but not exactly Muskie.

Keith left Pelican and fished Crescent. He got a mid forty inch fish to boatside on a crankbait, then she came unpinned, and saw 5 others in a couple hours. I went home with Sue and started planning our next couple days getting our accounts/records all set. I never imagined there would be so much to do..

Hiya Steve, I decided to pass on the Pelican deal when I saw it meant adding another 1-2 hours drive for me. I spent the time fishing a little lake on the way home to Iron Mountain.

Total weekend action was 3 stinkin' follows, a decent pike and a couple smallies. But I was able to try 2 new lakes, both with great potential and of course I was able to see you guys at your reception.

Glad you were able to make the reception. We had so much roast pig left over Jim had huge Zip Locks full of trimmed meat. We could have fed another 50 people easy!
