Hey all,
I've been saving my pennies to get an upgrade fish finder unit. I have been saving for the 999 unit, but I like the idea of Auto Chart Live on the Onix. Only problem is the $1k or so price difference. The Onix really worth the extra $$? Any other features other than the touch screen, faster processor and not needing the laptop for Auto Chart? I mainly want something for the Advanced iPilot link features and everything else is secondary.

Also, anyone know of any deals coming up on either unit that would make the financial impact a little lighter?

I love my 899 SI. only thing lacing is that they and the 999 or 1199 u its do not have a true seperate or dedicated DI transducer so the DI detail is lacking IMO. I did not buy it for DI though. Perhaps the onix Has a dedicated DI transducer Crystal?????
