got out for a couple hours on Saturday night...my wife came soooo close to her first muskie when one tried to eat boatside on the "L" but missed as she pulled the bait out of the water. when she jammed the bucktail back into the water it tried to eat again but missed. doh! hot and muggy, but a nice evening on the water all the same. Posts: 153 Location: Antigo Wi. | Finally put one in the net this weekend. My nephew got to tangle with a nice 38"er. For me it was the same as it has been the last couple of times out, nothing but small hammerhandles.

Posts: 283 | I had an awesome weekend. I caught a 32in tiger, 33in, 38in, 41in, and a 29in pike all on the same spinnerbait. My dad lost a pig at the boat and we had action from several other fish. A lot of guys that we talked to seemed to be catching and seeing a lot of fish on area lakes.

Posts: 32885 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Fished for pannies, pike and bass with my son Keith and a friend of ours yesterday and had a great time. Tonight went to Pelican fishing from TJ's X190...nada, but again, a great evening on the water. Got the air conditioners in the house, helped Keith with several projects including getting Worrall's Hideout mobile on 4 new skins...not an easy deal but she's rolling! Soon the Hideout will be seen parked next to good fishing and hunting spots across the country....

Location: Contrarian Island | Great weekend in Vilas...put 9 in the net, 38 to 46.5 with 7 over 40 to 46.5"...the 46.5" I have caught 3 times now...she was 45.5 last year... a very pretty 41" Hybrid as well...here are a couple.. as I've recieved quite a few pms looking for the pattern...basically we found fish in and just on the deep cabbage edge..not exactly rocket science..as for baits I will say that we had pretty much zero action on blades, but that can change in a s second... fish came on a variety of other baits from topwaters to little (5") erratic gliders...creepers at nite were good over the cabbage as well. good luck to those going up this weekend. Posts: 619 Location: Verona, WI | My mom wanted a deck built this weekend so I spent most of the time doing that. Hit the Black River for some shore fishing and picked up a 37" on Friday night. On Saturday took a spin to the Eau Claire River and was pretty disappointed. On the shore was an Amish family with a couple of mid-30s inch muskies on the stringer to take home and eat while I saw another bunch of guys fishing with single hook sucker rigs catch a 34 1/4" fish that they kept. It's a nice spot but its small and a lot of fish come out of there for lunch. Shane Edited by ShaneW 6/22/2009 8:39 AM

Posts: 1316 Location: Madison, WI | Spent the weekend in price county with the wife, caught a shorty and few hammer handle pike. Fished primarily weeds.... Caught one hell of sun burn, so did the wife.. Had a great time! I hear ya Shane, saw a 40 incher on a stinger to be smoked at a later date. Guy wouldn't shut up about how good muskie taste smoked... Hit the office both Saturday and Sunday; lots of homestead work too. But got out late Friday and Saturday nights. A few lookers, but nothing outstanding. Was looking for a Cowgirl, but couldn't find one. Lots of Silly Girls out there. Oh yes, lost a nice muskie at boatside in a PA creek last week.

Posts: 454 | Fished the metro this past Friday. Put 3 in the boat on Fri, lost 3 and moved 11 others. Moving a couple of larger fish, but most of the fish I have been moving have been 38-43. Fish have been basically everywhere. I have found fish a couple casts off the breaks, on the break, and up top or on the inside edge. The bigger fish have been off the break for the most part. Lots of cowgirls being thrown by boats, but I have been moving all my fish with other lures. This heat may get the cowgirl bite going though.

Posts: 1906 Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Nice fish Brad! What's up with the "Ya, so what I caught it again" look! We found fishing a bit more tough than what it should have been, but still put several in the boat. A couple of fish suspended, and one over a rock hump at night. The day bite for us was nil with the early morning and night time the best. Wishing I would have slept the daylight hours and fished from evening till morning shift. Also had a couple of "bumpers" out suspended for some reason. Still top producers for us are the 10" cranks high in the water column, WTD topwaters, and moved a big girl on a 2X10 over 25' of water.

Posts: 283 Location: beloit | fished waubesa sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 would have stayed longer but the skiers came out early. got a 39" just before 5:00 and saw 1 other probably a low 40" fish. fishing was tuff with all the floating weeds tried to throw some big crank's early but couldn't get them thru the weeds, sometimes they came in right ontop of the water full of weeds that were floating. Posts: 427 Location: Wausau | The past few weeks have been alright...a few fish here and there, but nothing really worth reporting in much detail. I was unable to establish a real pattern and found fish between 8 FOW to 55 FOW. Biggest fish (44,44,44,41)were on Pounders in deep water/basin. Smaller fish were on weed edges on double 10's, DDD's, MagDawgs and top water. Those that know where I went last night (i.e. Rhinelander league gents) - the 41 one was caught on a walleye pounder in 42 feet of water at 6:20 p.m. Lost another one at 12:10 a.m. on double 10's.
