Posts: 42 | Here it is guys, June 7th and 8th are the fishing dates. Rules meeting on June 6th. Banquet on the night of the 7th. 70% pay out one the tourney. Banquet is included, proceeds go to stocking muskies. Our club needs you guys to enter this tournament to help us keep going in our stocking program. We have stocked over $12000 worth of muskies in the last four years, based on a raffle ticket that we sell every year. However some of the organizations that have supported us have dissolved, and some of the events that we sold tickets at have gone away. Other events that we sold tickets at have sky rocketed their prices for booth space, taking away from stocking money. This tournament will keep us going strong, but it is up to you, the musky fishermen to make it happen. So let's make it happen. $100.00 per boat, 2 people per boat. Get entered before May 7th if possible. You can text email to 608 415 1231 to get a rules and sign up sent to you. This is a judge boat tournament. I'm gonna try and put the sign up on this forum as an attachment, but if it doesn't work just text me your email as said above. Thank you Mark Saemisch Attachments ---------------- Muskies Matter Musky Daze Tournament form.doc (60KB - 513 downloads)

Posts: 222 Location: c.wis | it should be a really great tournament to kick off the season, with ice on alot of lakes yet its almost perfect with the cabin feaver at its worst. this tournament fills a a need to help the local fishery.fish numbers are really strong in our cental wisconsin flowages and a chance at some true river monsters. although numbers are good this is a real positive way to help the local club to fund stocking and giving back to the river. for so many year todd forcier put on a top shelf tournament that has been responsible for many fish prowling the depths of the river, and this is the perfect way to fill the void and have fun. especially with lower and lower budgets in the state coughers to fund stocking its esential to ccontinue to sustain a truly awesome fishery. its going to be alot of fun. eric

Posts: 546 Location: MN | I am not familiar with the landing locations. I looked on the DNR website, but the landings are named by road names. Anyone know where each landing is located?

Posts: 42 | In the teens, but there are others coming in late. We have many donations from lure companies and rod companies for the fundraiser banquet. If you have not sent in yet get them in. This will be a great time and a tournament for years to come. It will be for not only stocking fish but will help the DNR collect valuable info. as well. So if any of you are sitting on the fence, just get in. For the price per boat the pay back is great in many ways. There have been 58 down loads of the sign up sheet on here alone. We have got everything set up for a great tourney, the rest is up to you. Every year will get better, is my promise if you support.

Posts: 42 | We need 4 more boats to hit 20. So here is the incentive. instead of 70% pay out we will do 100% if we do well at the banquet on the sat. night of the tourney. Call and let me know if you are sending in.

| How much would the pay out be? | |||

Posts: 42 | If there are 20 boats, that would be $2000 total. in which case we would probably do 2 places. $1500- 1st $500- 2nd This would be 100% pay out for smaller field We will do 100% up to 40 boats to keep the prize money up for you guys. If we went over 40 then we would start the original format. 40 boats would be $2000 1st $1000 2nd $1000 3rd After this point there has to be a percentage kept to run a tournament for that many boats. right now everything is donated, for the most part. so say there where 41 boats It would be something like $$1500-1st $700-2nd $700-3rd If we had 80 boats it would be $2800- 1s $1400- 2nd $ 700- 3rd $700 - 4th That would be 70% pay out for full field Let's remember that this is to raise money for stocking and the tourney at this point would do none of that. But the banquet that we feed you at on Sat. night is where we have all the prizes for raffle and what not to raise money to help stock fish. I hope I explained it well enough. any more questions feel free to ask.

Posts: 42 | OK guys here are the results, Yes Peter Cook, and Matt Cook took 1st with a 40.5 inch fish and Peter got big fish money. total take home of $1360. 2nd place went to Paul Kottke and Steve Olsen. They got a 40.25 inch fish. total take home of $800. We paid out 100% on the tourney and raised over $2300 for stocking at the banquet. Stay tuned for sponsor recognition. I want to make sure I do that right. But for now here are two pics. of the first and second place fish. There were 11 fish caught and many came to boat side. I witnessed to big ones lost that were in the mid 40s range. We had 16 buckets of lures, one tackle box, and six rods at the banquet.
