Never done a whole lot of twitching, just starting to get into it more. What are some of the better baits on the market for this presentation? Thanks in advance.

Big game twitch bait is awesome, a 8 inch jake is also really good.

My favorite is the Big Game. They have a really unique wobble on the rise and I have much better luck with the Big Game on the pause than alot of other baits. These baits also troll really well...

6" and 7.5" Grandma is great for me! Lot of nice up to 5 lbs bass on 6" Grandma twitched! I used 50 to 65 lbs Power Pro line.

8" and 10" Surface Twitch from Big Game. I also took a new plastic composite 7" Big Game for a test drive recently, had a musky boated within a half hour on it. Really nice baits.

Suick or a Phantom work great, but the larger Jake or Trip "D" is always a good jerkbait being easy to throw over the weeds or working deep.

You specifically said "twitch" and for that reason I'll leave out the baits that I consider slash baits or rip/pause baits and just stick to "twitch" baits. Talonz Little Claw, big game, 8" jakes, shallow raider, 6" Grandma all fall into the twitch bait category.

I like cranes, ss shads, pearson plugs, some muskie 911, water wolf fatboy and the hoosire hand made muskiebaits shad crankbait. If I want to run a little deeper, the cranky nitro is a great choice.

Grandma's, hands down. I don't think the Jake's have as nice of any action and they seem to rise faster. I like a bait that seems a little bit more neutrally bouyant in the water.

I also like to use DD's, but I wouldn't think of them as a twitch bait.

How could this discussion go this long without Slammer Crankbaits in 6", 8" & 10" being mentioned?
I was very happy with the old model wood baits performance with the exception of the bait rising like a "cork on steroids" at boatside.
The solid plastic baits have eliminated that problem.
Everybait is the same boyancy without dealing with every piece of wood being unique in its performance.

Slammer 6". Any H20 crankbait, the Cranky Nitro rocks.

I also twitch, but that;s another story.

Talonz Little Claw out twitches them all, followed by the Claw. Big Games are next. For a 6" size you can't go wrong with a Baby Shallow Raider.

Talonz for sure, but you have to finesse them a little. Great lure!
Big Games are good.
I used to use Cranes a lot for their vibration, but hit one rock and your lip is history.
Plastic ones.....I go with Grandmas.
