Well I have had my musky for about 3 months now. They are getting big and fat. I have them in my 75 gallon going to have to move them before long. I have 2 Tigers and 1 Spotted. Also in the tank I have a Crappie and a Walleye. Here are a couple of pictures I took today after the feeding. I feed them leeches today. Man do they love them leeches...

When they start getting this big, you gotta look out for small family pets.

Those are some great pics! I had a bluegill in a tank for 8 and half years, he was tough! I collected him from the river when he was only a few inches long. When he died it felt like I had lost the family dog, lol.

I just got rid of my Northern, he was over 15" long. Now I have a Walleye, Perch, Lm Bass, Bullhead, and 2 Crappies. Having the pet store get me a Muskie this spring.

Native fish make awesome pets

What do you do with them when they get too big for the tank, just take them out and release them or give them to the DNR?

Awesome, some day I will bite the bullet and build a big tank.

I've been keeping African Chiclids for over 25 years.

One pointer, the tank stays much cleaner if kept away from windows.

Sunlight is not necessary for a health tank.

I brought mine to the pet store and she gave me credit toward feeder fish. She is going to sell it to someone that has a bigger tank than mine. Otherwise, I would likely just take them to the lake.

since they are kept and fed fish would they survive??? id suggest donating them to a place like bass pro or somewhere iwth a big tank. unless they have a high survival rate of being let go into a lake!!

I dont see why they would have any less chance of surviving. They should still have all the natural instincts necessary to feed in the wild.

When Louie Spray's ghost starts haunting your tank, time to move those babies to Lake X which only you know about!

Aquarium chemicals render these fish inedible.

I will let them go in our lake in Michigan. We have a summer home that is on a private lake near Paw Paw, no public access and we have a contracted fish bio that maitains our lake. 80 feet deep spring feed 310 acres. Mostly bass some pike. But the musky will go first to my 200 gallon then to our summer home lake. We have some big pike in there so they should survive. Just great to feed them. And John since I do feed them live food (leeches and crappie minnows) they should work out fine in the wild as long as I get them used to the water.

One thing I have learned watch in them is that they aways feed down, they T-bone there food from the top every time. IE Grab there back and crunch....

Glad you enjoyed them,

bob

Thats freaking cool. I'd love that. How much are the little guys? Isn't there a farm in Minnesota you can order them from?

I want a Musky tank that I can sit in front of and sip Old Fashions until I'm blizted.

I paid about $10 bucks for my northern when he was about 2-3 inches long.

You can muskies from the Minnesota Muskie Farm. Not sure of the price there.

Minn musky farm has them cost me about $15 a fish including shipping. Next I wil set up a web-cam so you all can watch them all day. I have a walleye in the tank also, but he likes to hide so I could not get a picture of him that day. I will take some pictures down the road to see the size increase.
