Posts: 705 Location: Alex or Alek? | Tough day on Saturday. High skies all day long. Managed to fool a small one, (not big enough for matchfishing ) Ended up pulling 8 fish or so on just about ever bait in the box. No real pattern to it. Did have two 5 minutes apart right at sunset swipe at the bucktail boat side and miss the bait and decided to it wasn't worth a second swipe. Watched one terrorize a sucker for awhile to also decide it wasn't worth it. Saw quite a few people dragging suckers.

Posts: 32881 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Pointerpride102 - 9/19/2016 10:22 AM I caught dinner. Same here, shooting a portion of a new 'Creatures for Pike and Walleyes' piece for Bas s Pro, also got a Muskie. Only fished a few hours mid-day on Sunday and the fish were not going very well, but had a great time with my son Brian. Didn't get out Saturday at all or Sunday evening, grandson had a football game in Minocqua and there was work to do with the PMTT, Basmaster Elite AOY, and MWC Cas Lake in progress. The Pike was yummy.

Location: On the O | Had a nice fish come flying in behind a topwater, then 5 casts later I catch her little buddy. Thought it was the bigger one, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose. Also caught a smaller one trolling. Bite window was an hour and a half but talking to friends that were out, seems like everyone got one or two in the bag Sunday as opposed to nothing Saturday. Posts: 524 | Saturday was awesome for me. I got a 37, 40, and 54.5 and I lost a mid 40s my buddy got a 42. We saw a lot of fish and had a few that came in hot and missed the baits in the 8s. Sunday was about as opposite of that as could be. We saw 3 fish and only one followed.... The wind switch from N/NW to S/SE and lack of cloud cover didn't help much I don't think...

Posts: 400 Location: Metro | Has anybody had any action on Mille Lacs? I have a cabin near there and going to have some time to get up there for a few days. I have not been on mille lacs in a couple years but thought I would give it a try since I have a break from work. What side of the lake will give me the best chance at a musky? Also where can I find some smallies? Hope people aren't too secretive and want to point me in the right direction and maybe also tell me if the fishing is slow or fast. Thanks guys!

Posts: 400 Location: Metro | How did everyone do this weekend? I went up to Mille Lacs with a buddy and we had one fish hit on a trolling pass while taking a break from casting all day. That was the only thing we saw. Fish was in about 24ft of water. Couldn't find anything shallow up there. Tried everything except live bait.

Posts: 1767 Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | Fished the Hayward area. Seemed a bit slow, but I was on unfamiliar waters. Caught some fish on Mag Dawgs and Phantoms. Nada on bucktails and topwater. Water temps mostly in a 59-62 range. Only ran suckers one day and had a take and release, just enough to kill it.

Posts: 705 Location: Alex or Alek? | Fished a small central MN lake Saturday. It was incredible foggy in the morning and didn't start to clear up tell 10 ish. Started the day throwing 10's but had this voice in my head that kept telling me to downsize. Switched to a showgirl after 30 min and had a 41.5 hit boatside at 8:00. Managed to wrangle that one into the net (check matchfishing thread for a picture). 30 minutes later had another similar size fish crush it half way out and immediately swim towards me, while swimming towards me it made two jumps and spit the hooks right at the boat (that's the one I've been thinking about). Ended up the day seeing 6 fish total all followed the 8 at least once.

Posts: 118 | Spent 8 hours on Minnetonka on Sunday for only 1 lazy follow. We're in a rut right now and it sucks. Anyone been moving fish on Tonka? I don't want or need your spots but if you're willing to share depth, lures, etc. I would be more than willing to hear your advice.
