After an evening of gift opening the scorecard is:

Clothes: to many
Muskie Stuff: 0

I have this afternoon left, but things are not looking good...

How is your Muskie Christmas going?

Happy Holidays all!

Mostly clothes and non musky gear, but I now have plenty of gift certificates to purchase any necessary supplies needed.

Merry Christmas

I had a great Christmas for muskie stuff.
10 assorted lures
600 yards of 80 lb tuff line
Which means....I wont' have to spend as much at the shows (but who knows if I'll stick to that)

I also got a gift card for gander mountain and some heavy duty boots for fall fishing and ice fishing.

Once again, "THE WIFE ROCKS"! She got me a framed and matted print of "On The Figure Eight", by wildlife artist Mike Susinno. It was a Musky Hunter cover for June/July 2001. My Bro'-in-law also got me the book, "The Greatest Muskie Stories Ever Told".

Hey Luke,

I wonder where Santa got that idea? Hmmm? Maybe an elf covered in bucktail? Santa was very generous this year.
8ft St. Croix Premier and Cabelas Insulated Guide Wear from the wife and Mom to be. Merry Christmas guys and gals. Best of luck in 2003!

I am very fortunate in that my family has been trained, (and it took many, many years) to get me Cabelas's gift certificates of any size. They can be held for a year or more and stacked together to get something that I wouldn't even think of getting because of the expense. The lost fun component of giving a gift certificate is replaced by the competition of packaging it to look like anything but a gift certificate! Life is good!
The best present that I was able to give was a 48" graphite casting rod to my 3 year old nephew. That rod had been my son's, then my daughter's, when they were 4, they are now 20 & 16 years old. Next it went to Bill Schwartz's son Cody, and now to "Shooter"! This is what the gift giving component of Christmas is all about![] []

I guess a trip to the tri esox Chicago muskie show can count as muskie stuff.

Other then that it's all clothes and none with muskies of them ether.

We may have the best muskie fishing up here but pretty hard to find muskie lures let alone other muskie stuff.

Possibly the best musky Christmas ever--0 ties, 0 socks, only 1 sweater, but 10 new baits. Now I want to rent a swimming pool to try out these bad boys.[:p]

Here's a dirty little secret: Thornes has a gift registry! Go in, call, or email and they'll keep a card on you and they'll let "santa" know what's on your list.

well I did get a few things. assorted lures, line, and enough cash to get a new st. croix. the wife supports my habit in the winter when she knows all I can do is sit here and look at it instead of leaving her here and going out to try it. but wait till spring.
