Posts: 75 | Just purchased my first 10inch Weagle from Suick. This massive 8oz lure just looks amazing! I used it on 1 trip, second cast a monster jumped up for it and missed it! Any fish stories or pictures caught on WEAGLE? Tips or color for using the LURE? It is my favorite lure by far right now, can't wait to throw it again!

As far as colors It's hard to beat Black and something with either a Orange or white belly. Try slowing it down and a steady pace. Be sure to type in 10" Weagle into the VIDEO option above. On Cass 2 years ago I had an Eagle diving for my Perch Weagle. Scared the crap out of me thinking on what to do if I got hooks in it. I was slapping my pole on the water and yelling. The Eagle swooped down, tailon's ready to pick up the bait twice before I got the bait back to the boat. About 20 mins after the Eagle left a small Musky crushed it. He musta hit that bait full speed and flew out of the water in a perfect arc 4 feet high. It was awsome. Later that evening I had a monster fish miss the bait on the pause.... Just another bait. And I suppose your mutha was just a Mutha. Ron

But in your seminar at the MN Muskie Expo did you do a study on lure sounds and didn't the weagle or the wabul produce some of the loudest sounds. Seems to me I thought that is what you had the video on showing the lure along with the sound and I remember it made a pretty good water movement noise. Please correct me if I am wrong!!! Thanks Mike

Too many stories on LOTW to tell. Fish love them. Learn to do the "Death March" and you will be fine. Weagle baby !

Posts: 116 | just got a perch colored 8" weagle for father's day. my first one. i threw it today, only about 20 times mid-day just to check it out, but it was freakin awesome. this bait is so easy to work, anyone could do it....i just don't see how you could screw it up. no fish, but we were mostly bass fishing so i didn't throw it much. now if i can catch a fish on it, i will have a new favorite lure.

To just make the Weagle "work" - yes, it's very easy. But to get the right "swoosh" with the death march, well, that takes a little bit of learning. If you've already got that down, consider yourself lucky! I STILL have trouble with an original Cady sometimes after owning it for 2 1/2 years.

Joel actually took the time last year to describe how he works his weagles and following his advice I had success the first day I used mine. My only problem was that the muskies got so excited they missed the lure more than they hit it but it was still a lot of fun. Muskies, northerns and bass all got excited. I am used to fish hitting short on top water but actaully had one musky that first day hit about six inches in front of the lure, bending the solid wire leader in half. Fish was about 15 feet from the boat, upper 30's fish and made quite a splash. That was fun to watch.

Don't fall in love with a Weagle. They're bad news. And if you marry one, you'll suffer big time.
