Whats gonna be the hot bait at the fishing shows this year,I`m sure that medusa will be all over the place. The problem with that bait is if you look it in the eyes you will turn to stone, same with the muskies.

I think that medusa is going to be a nightmare to fish with. Those tails are gonna tangle with the hooks every cast. There is some squid bait i saw that had little arms up front that looked just similar to the medusa.

The Medusa is a great bait to fish, and doesn't tangle any more than other baits with tails.
It has really good action, and will put fish in my boat in 2009.
Have a good day.

I threw the medusa for about 20 cast and only tangled the tails once,it was only one of the tails and the other 2 were still working,I wish the tails were a bit longer though

Ditto on the comment from Jerome about the Medusa....fished it quite a bit this summer and had fewer issues with that bait than others like it. Jason did a very good job designing the bait....I'm looking forward to adding a few to the arsenal this winter.

I threw the medusa a lot this year, great bait, no issue with the tails tangling. It requires the same thumb attention that prevents dawg balls, but even if 1 or 2 get tangled, still got 1 or 2 tails working!

With all of the plastic hype and the double 10/s phenom
, I'm going to make a DT with a 7" plastic trailer. It's got to catch fish.
Personally I'm looking forward to getting some of the lures that the guy had at the big tackle show. You remember, the ones where they took real bluegills and perch for the molds for their swimbaits. Those things looked awesome, if I sould just remember who it was that makes them.
I'm going to play around with exotics this year....woods, that is.....I'm making gliders and top-waters that won't need weighting, and best of all, if it works out, they will need just the opposite of a great paint job because they will come with one furnished by God. I've got woods that are purple, red, pink, orange, yellow and more. Maybe I'll add perch bars, or a belly or back just to spuce them up. I've got wood that looks better than anyone could ever paint, because the grain in the wood is so out of this world because it is a gift from God. I need to talk to some manufacturers, because I know that there are woods out there that won't need balancing for gliders, and will have a perfect density for the perfect "woosh" and they won't need anything but eyes or something like that added and that will be all.....except for 2 coats of envirotex. "Gods Gifts", as I go on the journey to come back with wood like neither you or the fish have ever seen. If there's one thing that Beaver's know best, it's wood.

I got to throw the new Medussa around this year (thank my cousin for living next to them) and can tell you two things.
1. The tails do not tangle any more then any other bait. I thought it would just by looking at it, but it doesn't. I heard the tails were originally longer, but that is why it has been in the works and tested for two years before they released it. They wanted it right the first time. Plastic seems to hold up better then most others.
2. This will be thee bait of 2009. I can't describe it to you, you have to see it for yourself. It looks like nothing else you have ever seen in the water. If someone throws it in the pool or tanks at the sportshows this winter, their booth will sell out.
I was wrong, 3 things. It catches fish!!

The meduessa is a crazy looking bait in the water. I got to see it in action on the last day of the year this year and myyyyy-lanta, I was just waiting for that dude to get crushed. I'm definitiely picking up some of those. Unreal what it looks like in the water. Wish I could have had some more time with her in the boat, but from what I saw, that thing is wicked! No issues with "dueces" either. (that's what we figured we should call a dawg ball with a medeussa lol).

I hear that their is a new bulldog comming out made of a stronger rubber. I also have been hearing that the paint and eyes are cover with a clear plastic so no more losing eyes, that would be sweet. I hope they have some cool new colors.

I have been one of the lucky few to have had the opportunity to field test some of SMOKER TACKLE'S new baits. The new "9 1/2 inch SS Sr." throws easy and has the same wide wobble that made the orginal "SS Shad" such a productive bait, when retrieved the flash created when twitched, the fish SMOKE IT, the "9 1/2 inch SS Sr." can be trolled 6 plus MPH. Then there is the new "4 1/4 inch SS Jr." that is a killer bait in the early season and in Southern areas for Muskie/Pike/Bass. This fall caught a good number of Muskie and 5LBS plus Bass on the reintroducted "SMOKE TOP" both the 6 and 8 inch models. I highly recommend all four of these baits. Be sure to check out SMOKER TACKLE'S booth at the Chicago Muskie Show for limited quantities of custom foil and color patterns.

The new Krisco crankbait from Llungen Lures. I got to see one in Chad Cain's boat this fall and he got a 42" on it. Sweet looking bait!

Thanks Guys.Yes we will be at the Chicago show again this year.Same spot but a new display and plenty of new baits and some KILLER FOIL patterns.
We will also have a HOT NEW JERKBAIT called the "JERRY".
It is the best looking bait I have ever seen. The paint jobs are to die for.All of them are FOIL.I have never seen a person to paint like this.Thats who inspired me to do some foil patterns. Now if I could paint like him....
See you there Kyle

The first Tyrant came out of the mold FINALLY last week. Will be pool testing next week, hopefully signing off on and have them ready late winter early spring, I'm quite partial, but believe this will receive the same praise at the shows that has come from those who have seen it. I won't be at Chicago with it because of the delays in production but will have samples at Musky Road Rules, New London and hopefully a few others.
