No hype here, just one man's opinion of a bait that I've thrown a bunch this year already:
The Hellhound is the best looking glide bait I've ever seen, and I was in love With Hughes River Jerkbaits forever.
They are solid plastic, and are unbreakable (within reason). Keith painted the ones I have, and his paint jobs are SOOOO good. Tons of flash, and great color schemes. The Shad Cain color is going to put a ton of fish in the boat on shad based reserviors!
The action of the Hellhound is so different than any other glide bait I've ever seen, due to the fact that it can be worked as SLOOOOWWW as you want, like a Jerko, or as fast and eratic as you can spin the handle on your reel, like a reef hawg, or a Magic Maker.
The neatest thing the Hellhound does is on the pause though.
It has the best belly roll of any jerkbait I've ever thrown. When you pause it after a twitch, the bait has already swung out to the side (sometimes at least 3 foot off center) and then it wobbles as it falls, showing off the belly color.
What I really like, and how I think it is going to shine, is how fast you can retreive it. It shakes and darts like a wild beast and stays just subsurface when you rip it like that.
This thing will do anything you want it to, and since they are solid plastic, they are going to hold up better than anything like it.
Hope nobody thinks this is some kind of adevetisement, I have no affiliation with ERC, I just really love these baits!

Keith, Is my stuff on the way or can I pick it up from you at the show?

I might have to get the Shad Cain for down south fishing, to go with the funky Hellhound I already picked up from Matt!

Hey Keith,
Any chance that the Hellhound could end up as a lure of the month?

Lure of the month is Run by Tom Sennett. Ill ask Matt to contact him to see if he wants to have the Hell Hound as a lure of the month down the road. i just shipped him some squirkos for this month.

ERC & LLUNGEN. No affiliation. I am Just doing some Custom painting for my freind Matt. The Hell Hound's were just finished the week of the Chi show. Matt needed to get them painted quick and I helped out. We decided to keep using my custom patterns for this show season.

Extreme Show Chi. I will Have some Custom Painted Hell Hounds & Trip D's
at our LLUNGEN / Chad Cain Booth as well as custom Jerko Squirko's and llungen Tails plus a chance of our new twitch bait and spinner bait if they are finished in time.

I have also talked to Steve about doing some Custom Muskie First patterns on a bunch of MFG's Lures

hope this helps with your questions.
Keith

Holy crap! Awesome Paint jobs Keith!!!

You might not want to have those at our booth at the Extreme Show in Chicago cuz they might disappear into my briefcase!! LOL

I have used the Hellhound the last week on Kinkaid and it is an amazing glide bait. One of the best I have seen so far. You can fish it so many different ways, and what I like is that you can fish it SUPER fast too!!
