Posts: 968 Location: N.FIB | what lures can you guys think of that don`t weigh alot, have a big profile, and are easier to retrieve, been having back problems as of late and when I do get out I don`t want to be throwing mag dawgs and lures as heavy as them. Also looking into fall also,I can think of suick type baits and slow rolling blades, what else.

Posts: 624 Location: S.W. WI | Musky Innovations Jimmy's (tubes) have almost no resistance to retrieve. easy to get to shimmy and glide. They do weigh about 5 oz. though, but cast and retrieve easy. -Jon

Posts: 665 Location: Twin Cities, MN | I watch what I throw due to my back also. I tend to alot of homemade double 8's and 10's with a single skirt, topwaters. big games, super shad raps, ghosttails, llungen tails, spinnerbaits, and original hi-fin foolers for a jerkbait. I do stay away from the heavy stuff, just not for me. Pal

Posts: 720 | I have to toss a vote in for Sand Cats. Cast well very easy to bring back to the boat. The best thing is they catch fish.

Posts: 366 | Without a doubt, at the end of a long hard week of chucking baits a 10" Believer is guaranted to be on one of my rods and get plenty of water time. Big fish bait, and it doesn't get much easier to retrieve. Rumbler or a Nitewalker will be right in that line-up as well. Ryan

Posts: 906 Location: Canada | ToddM - 8/20/2011 10:05 PM Gotta get some of these sent to Dave at Bare Bones Baits, I'd love to try one. I've so far got a Cranky Nitro in a smaller size that is easy to throw, comes back to the boat deep and has action like I've never seen before. Probably going to buy more of these custom painted by Dave.An h2o tackle psycho nitro. It is a jerkbait that wobbles not alot of resistance.

For a topwater you may want to look at the Whopper Plopper by Larry Dahlberg it's weight is 2 3/4 oz. and 7 1/2" in length. Scott M.

Suicks-do the Doug Johnson retrieve-cast, crank, periodic pull and crank some more.

Posts: 97 Location: Pickering, ON | When my back starts bothering me I like lures that retrieve straight and with limited resistance - good choices are topraiders, single bladed bucktails like Mepps marabou, and willowleaf spinnerbaits (pearson grinder). The motion of working a glider or dive and rise jerkbait tends to cause more pain, though a Phantom softtail worked with just the reel handle is alright. Using a good rod/reel combo all day long can really cut down the fishing related fatigue. Since I switched over to 9' TI rods, very little of my back pain comes from fishing anymore. Most of it is from home reno projects. Edited by JeffinPickering 8/22/2011 12:34 PM

Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | Willow leaf blade spinner bait...easy to throw, retrieve and versatile. Also super shad raps or just throw bass sized stuff and do a figure eight...my buddy caught a 50" on a husky jerk! Good Luck... Matt
