Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Those are real cool! Multie pour baits must take a little longer but if that is the outcome it is well worth it. Very nice as usual. James

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | That looks like a cool color. Nice to see bait makers that keep thinking of how to improve their products. I have a queston. Do the larger Curley Sues still have the top hook, but it is molded around rather than exposed? I just figured you left it off, but it looks like it is molded into the plastic on the Sue on the bottom of the picture. If so, is there a reason for that? Just curious! curleytail

Posts: 2024 | I asked the same thing, Curleytail. I'll let Andy give the full-fledged response, but I gathered it was to help keep the "structure" of the bait. Andy, Sweet pattern! Any chance after the shows people can have a "custom" pattern made up?

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | If anyone would like to see some of Andy's new baits at the Milwaukee show, or the swap, I will have a few I can show you with me. look for me, as will have a Black Bowtech hat on, and a white shirt, with "The Sportsman" embroiderd across my shoulderblades. I will be at the show from Noon or so on Saturday, and at the swap. Folks, Andy has it NAILED!

Posts: 158 Location: Burlington, WI | Nice looking bait Andy. Nice to hear your new set up for making your baits is working out for you. Too bad we (Nate and I) won't being seeing you at the Milwaukee show. Good luck at those other shows though. I'm sure you won't have any problems selling baits. Take Care. Greg

Posts: 164 | How about this one with a black tail, I think it looks more natural. The reason the hook is buried within the 9” and 11” Curly Sue’s is that I don’t think it is necessary for this type of bait to have a top jig hook. Two bottom trebles are enough in my opinion. I have caught a few fish on another lure and it staples the mouth closed and can make it a lot harder to get the hooks out. I know some people like the top hook and have landed fish with that hook only, but I decided not to use a top hook. Attachments ---------------- babaybass21.jpg (33KB - 87 downloads)
