| I caught this on a lake in Ontario and it looks like a tiger to me but guides on the lake said they have never seen a tiger on the lake. The lake does contain muskie and a lot of pike. The fish measured 45 inches.

| Thanks everyone! I've never caught one until this and wasn't 100 percent positive, but after looking at some photos of pike and tigers it's obviously a tiger. My friend caught a 50 inch ski in the same spot 30 minutes before this hit my medussa. It was unreal.

| Great tiger (not a pike). BTW I have heard of these rare hybrids in lakes where no stocking takes place. |

Were these "guides" musky guides? If they were they should be ashamed of themselves. Beautiful Tiger, congrats on the fish. |

| Beautiful Tiger! Just because the guides haven't seen one doesn't mean they aren't there!
They are definitely less common than pike/muskie because they are sterile, and don't reproduce. |

Tigers have to be stocked. They only occur very rarely in lakes that have both pike and pre bred musky's (due to different spawning periods and habitats, in lakes in which they coexist). I'm not surprised the guides have never seen one in a Canadian lake where often no stocking of tigers has likely taken place. |

| We definitely have them in Nipeeing, I saw a little one (20-ish") come in less than a month ago. AFAIK, they have never been stocked here.

Whereas the hybrid can occur in the wild where both species coexist it's rather uncommon. The vast majority of hybrids are produced in the hatchery. |

| I caught a tiger on LOTW a few years ago and I highly doubt tigers are stocked in lotw. LOL !!! |

| I caught this on Tetu lake, which has a low muskie population...its connected to white dog, which is part of the Winnipeg river system and fed by little and big sand lake, which is where the muskies come from I'm told. I doubt there is stocking of tigers anywhere near based on what I've been told. Thanks for all the compliments on the fisb. |

| Nice Tiger . We are catching them now in the Kawartha's on Balsam my son caught a 46" er and I have heard of a couple 50" ers over the last several years . The pures are still doing Ok so far . |
