Posts: 202 | I finally had a chance to get out musky fishing the other day and try out the Modivator made by Ben Modica. This is a really nice glide bait, has a good side to side action and not hard to work at all. I also like that to is a heavier bait that will run deeper that most glide baits. Check them out. Posts: 906 Location: Canada | Today, we floated the boat for the first time this season. Took it down to the local reservoir to give it the once over before musky season starts and fish for some pike. Threw my Modivators and a few other gliders that I wasn't pleased with the action. Man do I LOVE the action of the Modivator, can't wait to get some big toothy muskies on these !!

I was reading your post and I almost thought that the modivator didn't run good at first, but then I read on. I'm glad you love it. I fished a couple times this week and our muskies are still in a funk, mostly the bigger fish are are coming up on the Modivator 40's and up. I can't wait until these fish turn on with some stable weather. Thursday Ren lost a mid 30's inch fish on the perch next to the boat. Thanks Again.

Posts: 906 Location: Canada | Sorry, didn't mean to sound confusing. MODIVATORS kick ass !! The other gliders I tried were name brand and/or other bait makers, not naming any names but I really wasn't impressed with them. Can't wait to get the blue shad, the foiled shad, the bass and pike modivators from you. Definitely want the other two I discussed with you.

Posts: 906 Location: Canada | Stupid mail strike here is keeping me from my Modivators that Ben sent me. I wanted them before this weekend's trip. I'll be fishing some steep break lines with the ones currently in my arsenal and can't wait to send pics to Ben from out on the water!

Posts: 742 Location: Grand Rapids MN | As many said the Modivator is easy to work, nice action (both while swinging to the side and on the fall) but what I really like is its a little heavier. I wanted a bait that I can work deeper without counting down forever. In a way I wanted something that I can work in what i would normally call "Dawg territory" and this bait hit the mark perfectly. Can't go wrong with one...... Or two!
