Greetings folks,
Looks like a long time before I'll be back in the fishing boat. Seem like I broke my neck last Saturday riding my 4-wheeler and will be laid up for up to 3 months. I hope that I'll be able to see all of you guys at the Cave but I just don't know. If not , remember me when you bring in that 52"er up in Beaver Creek. I know that somewhere down the line I'll see you again and share the good times with you again. Till that time comes , keep a tight line and sharp hooks.

Your friend ( hopefully)
C.J. Cantley aka Mauser

CJ
That don't sound like too much fun. Keep yourself out of trouble, keep a positive attitude and don't overdo it to much. You'll be healed up in no time.
See you on the water soon.

CJ,
Hey man, you are NOT allowed to miss the Cave. If we have to haul you around on a litter, we will, just to be sure you are there. If you like, I will tape a rod and reel to your foot, and set a sucker out there for you!!

Get well, sir, take care of the neck (this is from experience, I had a very serious c/5 and c/6 injury in '79) I'll give you a call this weekend!

CJ- Wow! Hope your recovery is speedy.  Look forward to seeing you w/ Mikie on your next "Mikie & CJ's Muskie Crawl". Listen to the doc's and folks here who have been through similar experiences.

Howdy, all. I went down to wild, wonderful West Virginia yesterday to visit our buddy Mauser. It was nine below when I woke up but warmed up to minus 8 by the time I left! CJ's doin OK, he is in a plastic neck brace that don't look a bit comfortable. He's healing slow. Hadn't been out of the house in 4 days since they won't let him drive so I took him over to his neighborhood tiger muskie lake and he pointed out all his hot spots. I told him it looks like he's gonna be trolling for a while!

He said that the way the chair and computer are set up at his house, he can't hardly work the computer and screen without a lot of neckpain, so he may not get to reply for a bit. I'll let him know, thanks, mm

Good to hear you are doing good after the accident, I have seen too many people that aren't as lucky as you with a neck fracture. It's actually quite amazing how many people we see walk in with an unstable fracture!

Bummer dude. That's a bummer. Heal up quick man, and I hope to see you very soon.
