Location: musky waters of SE, WI | Figured I'd post some pictures of a project I took up last summer and finished up this winter. Found some other people doing some sort of the same thing on the forum that inspired me, so figured I'd add. Made a lot of updates, new motor, terrova, electronics, but also did some other things to make it not look so 80's. Changed the rope rub rail, took out the stainless carpet edging for a rubber type edging, different rod rails, permanent gas tank, updated the trailer with rubber inserts instead of carpet, different rims, and other details to match everything. But overall found a gem of a boat that the glass didn't need cleaning up at all. (If you see chips in the fiberglass near the back deck it wasn't originally there, it was from my idiot self taking out the first trial an error back deck i built quick in summer, that I redid then this winter). It was alot more difficult being a 87 the only year they made the dash different. The next year and after it was flat across to where the driver seat was, easier to make a deck. So I tried making it low as I could. Alot of swearing and sweat to get everything right, but overall something I'll remember forever. An knowing its the only one like it, thats pretty cool.
One of the first trips out with the new motor being broke in, broke it in even more, and hit a nice rock bar on the WI river I wasn't thinking about after water levels dropped. Always fun! Can see the nice "chiseled skeg" now. Lol. Got lucky and only needed a new prop though.
Anyway couple months till open season!
EDIT: you'll see boat was from IL its now safely in WI, for any bears/packers discrepancies

41 by myself. Might be different with a different prop. But gets up and goes lol |

Location: musky waters of SE, WI | And the $ damage...too much! Lol. Can do the math on a new yamaha, a deal on a terrova, other supplies. But the boat was originally 5200. Only paying a loan on motor now. Cheaper than a new boat, was a fun project, and its the lightest ranger made which was the whole reason I got it. Either had to get a bigger truck and wait for a boat, or find a boat could pull around easy with my little tacoma. |

Wow! I think you have done some great work there. It's inspiring! Perhaps you have seen my attempts for getting info for doing my own project with an 680C. I know a 680C for sale and i'm trying to get info on them. The flooring is bad so I need to replace it... And i'm probably turning it into a tiller.
-What's youre idea about the driversseat? Do you sit on the castingdeck or have you installed a seat? And how did you mount it then?
-What was your experiance with the 40hp it had on it? I have got an 50hp 2014 etec that i would like to use on it. topend speed of 30mph with two persons and some gear would be enough for me. Do you think it could do that with a 50?
-do you have a 12V terrova or a 24V?
I hope you can help me.
