Just curious if anyone can fill me in on what the all the rage is with the Dadson's blades as of late? I haven't fished with one, but is there something that makes it unique, other than the catchy names, especially when compares to spanky, mayhem, mepps, gerry's, etc?
thanks all.

they're really heavy. just one more tool. I'm a big spanky guy when i want to run deeper. Cowgirls when I want to run higher in the water column

Yes some of them are heavier, not just so you can fish them deeper, but like the video says so you can fish them faster without blowing them out of the water.

The big reason though, they are the best made bucktail on the market. They stand up to the abuse of millions of revolutions and multiple big fish

They are heavier than DCG, great quality, run a little deeper and easier to cast in windy conditions.

Whats the difference between the spanky heavy fireballs and the musky bullet besides around $10 bucks? They are both 4oz or so.

Very well made and balanced perfectally. In my opinion probably the best company for bucktails out there along with Gerries both work great

Just like any other lure out on the market, the difference is overall quality components, heavy duty hardware and good action which will stand up to multiple fish attacks. Some skimp, others don't.

Blades are not as thick on most Dadsons..maybe all? Spankys are .40 Bullets I believe are .25 More tinsel, better build quality.

The baits with skulls on the blades I am pretty sure are the 9mm's. Size 9 blades thinner than the .40

Funny, I have the exact opposite comments....one fish on a spanky it lost a bunch of tinsel and would never spin right

My experience with the Spankys has been excellent. Waiting for two new ones to arrive.

Todd, you're right.

I had a combination of Spanky's, Gerry's Girls, Llungen Tails, Flashers, Mepps, Cowgirls, And several other less-known varieties in a Plano 7915 box, along with a collection of TM tails from our FRV meetings. Well #*^@ if I didn't hear a bunch of noise one night coming from the basement.... I thought for sure someone was robbing the place. It wasn't until a few weeks later when I opened that box and discovered that my TM tails had literally beaten the #*#* out of all of my other bucktails. There were blades and clevises and beads and tinsel and bucktail #*#* all over the place. I even heard some whimpering from a far corner of the box. I removed the TM tails and put them in their own special box. I put the rest out of their misery out in the yard.

Sounds like the Peaky Blinders of tails!
I'm intrigued by these "TM tails" and wish to subscribe to the maker's newsletter.
