Very nice rods and a pretty good alternative if you like the Premier actions but prefer a split grip.

Sorry, not a chance i would use one. The handles on the mojo are WAY TO SHORT. The rod is also noticibly heavy. for the price there is better out there. I would take a TI rod over a mojo anyday.

ti vs croix again..... no!!!!!

it is personal preference....some people dont like the fat grip on the ti (i do) and some like longer vs shorter handles,,,depends what your doing with it.

my advise pick it up and feel it out,,if you think it fits buy it.

They don't have TI rods here in Montreal. I was looking at the Mojo Musky or the Shimano Compre musky.

Is the Mojo the same as the Premier, only difference is the split grip?
The mojo is 150$

Don't hesitate to get one of these rods. Check out the rod in person and see how it feels for you. I own the 8' Heavy and 8'6" XH rod and are very satisfied and happy with them. I don't have a problem with the handle length but it is personal preference.

chong,
You can now get TI rods in Canada from eTackle in Ontario. They ship all throughout Canada now. If they don't have your rod, I ship to them almost every month now. They are getting between 20-40 rods per shipment and most are customer requests. Just email Phil and let him know what you are looking for.

As for the Mojo rods, I have heard nothing bad about the rods since day 1. I held one at a musky shop and again at a recent musky show. Very nice rods for the money and its a St. Croix too! You will never go wrong with a purchase from St. Croix from quality, customer service to their excellent warranty program. I dream of being half the company St. Croix is today! They truly set the standard for all rod companies.
JMO,
James

As a follow up to my pevious statement I have the mojo's and like them but am also very satisfied with my Tackle Industries rods. I have yet to ever hear one negative thing about the rods or the company. James must be one heck of a guy and has a great company. Lures are good too!

I love mine although the handle is abit lacking. I have the model you are looking at. That being said, for bigger baits I just ordered a TI

My "XH" is what many other companies call their "H" or heavy. More important is to look at rod lure weight ratings. Most rods can throw much larger baits than they are rated for but the lure rating is where the rods load up the best on. Example, my MH can throw pounders all day but it loads up the best on lures 1-6 oz.

I fish with St.Croix Premire's. I don't have any Mojo's, however, I saw some last weekend in Duluth and have to say they are a nice feeling stick for the money. I think they are a good deal.

Like others have said, I would suggest picking up as many of these rods as you can and seeing how they feel... Everyone has different preference... Go to a musky show if you can and just walk around let everyone tell you about the rod they make and then pick them up and see how they feel...
