| Happy: Thanks for the heads up phone call on this outing. Unfortunently I'll have to miss it as I have the boat in the shop. Doing a little work on the carbs before we hit Canada. Just want to make sure it's in top shape before we go. Hope you have a great time. Are you still planning on making the Red Wing trip? You have a motor yet? I plan on being at the next board meeting so hope to see you there. MuskyMidget: Where abouts do you live? I'm only a couple of miles south of town, near Hwy 61 and 190th Street. We should be almost neighbors. | |||
| |||
| I got permission from the wife to fish the tournament. Fishpoop do you want to fish it? I have a space open in my boat. Let me know. I am in Circle Pines, and could meet you at the ramp. Lance | |||

| I'm in. I also have an open seat on my boat. I have never been on this lake before so anyone who has been could be a huge help. [email protected] | |||

| Were is the landing? I never fished the lake. [:bigsmile:] | |||
| |||
| The landing is right in town. Hwy 61 and Mainstreet, North East corner. Just north of the Upper Deck Bar. | |||
| |||
| There might be a problem with the landing. The last time I was by the intersection of Hwy 61 and Broadway (main street from hwy 35E) the road was closed due to construction. I will go through town tomorrow(Thursday) and check it out and post updated info after I get back. Fortunently I have time to do this. If it is closed, I know that there is a public access on 3rd lake and if need be I'll drive down to it and check it out. I have used it in the past but don't remember how many parking places it has. Thanks for the invites to share boat space. I don't have an answer yet, I'll either post a response later tonight or in tomorrows construction bulliten. But I do appreciate very much the invitations from everyone. [:)] | |||

| OK, Here's what's happening with the road constrution in town. First the boat landing on lake one is open for business, but you can't get there in the usual way. Here's how to get there. Exit Hwy35E at the Forest Lake exit. Turn right at the stop light at the top of exit ramp. This is Broadway street. Follow Broadway into downtown Forest Lake until you come to Hwy 61. Turn Left onto Hwy 61. (Note: you can't cross hwy 61 as Broadway is closed at that point due to construction. Basicly follow Broadway until you hit the construction and turn left.) Go about 1 1/2 block on Hwy 61 to 2nd Ave N.E. Turn right. (There is a Holiday gas station on this corner.) Go 1 block on 2nd Ave and turn right again. You'll see the boat landing from there. I won't be able to go with you guys after all. I talked it over with my wife and we have some errands and chores to do Sat morning before we go to work. I have Mon. and Tues. off. Again I want to says THANKS to all who offered to share boat space. There is 2 other boat landings on the lake. If you guys decide that you want directions to those leave a post tomorrow and I'll put them on after I get home from work tomorrow night (friday). I get home about 11:00 p.m. So you'll have to check for them before you leave Sat morn. Good Luck to all![:p] [:p] | |||

| I fished Forest last night and I couldn't figure out how to get to that first landing......I put in on the lake 3 landing. Plenty of parking, only one ramp though[:(] Only had a short time to fish...didn't see any muskies but Morriscode nailed the biggest bass I've ever seen on a Topraider[:p] PK Looks like it's back into the loch with you nessy | |||
