I've been Muskie fishing for almost 25yrs but its only been the last couple that I've been doing much casting so I'm getting to see a lot of things I've never saw before. 2 weeks ago I had the same fish follow a bait in 5 times in 7 casts. After posting about it I guess its not that uncommon. Well today I had two fish follow in a Hot Pink 10" Weagle. The first was in the low 30"s and had its nose up the baits butt the second was in the upper 30"s and was coming in about 3ft behind the first. Neither ate it but it was very cool to see. Anyone else have this ever happen?

Thanks
Tim

On a Canadian flyin lake, I've had twin 40's follow twice- same fish, same spot, two different days. Both times they came up together, side by side. Couldn't get either to eat!

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Have fun!

Last year I had an about 25incher and 35incher follow a jackpot, but neither ate either. Pretty neat to see though

I was fishing a brood stock lake about 6-7 years ago when I had around 7-8 fish all in the mid 30s to about 42 inches come following in a creeper at the same time only to have the 42 incher slam it boatside. I have also seen times when I have hooked up on a musky and like 3-4 different fish come darting up after that fish. Fish in Northerm MN are unique in that they do some very strange things. Thats why I love them!!!

This spring I had a little fish...about 20" following a glider, then out of the weeds comes a mid 30's fish with its mouth open and gills flared. I thought it was going after my bait...but no it was after the other muskie.

i've seen double follows 4 times- actually one time in the spring 3 Fish were following my bait ( a female and two males i think) that got the blood pumping, they stuck around the boat but didn't eat.....Steve Jonesi had a double follow on a weagle last year when we were fishing together - one fish split off and tried to eat my shallow invader in the 8 while he had the other fish nip his weagle..very close to catching both fish simultaneous. Definitely rare though...

Don't happen often enough to actually see it, but I've had 3 fish up to boat at the same time too, in early spring. Really gets you pumped up trying to do figure 8's on multiple fish.

I once had two mid-30"s nosing a terrified sucker I had hanging down next to the boat. They stayed with it for maybe 10 minutes, split, and then a somewhat bigger fish came in and SLAMMED that sucker. Tore the 15" sucker in half, two big pieces on either side of the quick strike rig.

A few years back in a gin clear lake we had 4 muskies following one sucker at the same time. We left the sucker in the water 5 feet from the boat at the surface and watched them swim with the suck for 5 minutes or so. It was educational for us to understand the differant clicker rips and movements based on the muskie's yapper proximity to bait.
I have to dig up that pic and post it.

ya, I had a 42 and a 46 follow at the same time, I went into the figure 8 and the 42 ate, and then the next cast the 46 ate it way out... (we were drifting over a flat and I fired back where it shot off to) oh ya this was fishing out of AML on one of their drive ins

I've had this happen several times, especially in late spring.

coolest thing I've every seen was a 47 and a 48ish type follow side by side but got ran off my lure by a super tanker low-mid 50ish type of fish. 3 large ski's on 1 cast. The largest one swiped at a glider later in the drift but missed it. MD

Last year, my fishing partner had a double follow up in Canada. We circled around the island and I caught them both on back to back casts and both on the figure 8.

This spring i had 2 muskies hooked on the same bait at the same time, on an eel. One came off while trying to get them in the net, but it was one of the coolest things i've ever seen!

While fishing with a sucker under a bobber a fw years ago I had a pick up--but the fish was swimming shallow and all over the place with bursts of speed then stops. This went on awhile so I eventually thought it must be a smaller fish and I approached with the boat. I find out it's about a 40 inch fish with the sucker still sideways in it's mouth AND there is a second fish about the same size chasing after it to try and get the sucker. It was quite a sight so I tried pulling them towards the net--right at the net the fish lets go and they both disappear. Never seen that before and I fish Suckers all the time every Fall season. I never set the hook as the behavior of the fish was odd from the start-so nothing was hurt except the sucker--too bad I would have liked to have caught at least 1 of them.

while fishing open water with bulldogs I had a upper 30 fish eat, my girlfriend gets the net, as it comes in, we notice a 45ish swimming right along with it,
almost like a dog trying to take another ones bone away, cool as hell.
that fish stayed with the other till she dipped the net in the water, then it spoofed.
tried getting that one to go but no luck.
fishing pretty clear water in GB ive had a few times when 2 fish came in at once,
also throwing a Danzyk glider, forget the name, but its a big one,
on 7 consecutive casts, I had 7 fish follow, and judging by the size diff in each,
I think they were almost all different fish.
very crazy! the bait was a musky pattern to boot.

The first musky my wife ever caught was 35 incher on a light action bass rod. Since it was such a light rod, she fought the fish for a long time. The whole time she had the fish on there was another musky about 40" swimming around underneath. Very exciting first musky. Lots of yelling.

Last week on eagle I had a 47 and a 50 follow in together on a bulldawg...they both came ripping up out of the weeds from different angles! Was pretty cool.
