| saw this on Lake-link. THis 52 inch 41 lb'er was recently caught in the nets on Okachee. THey are doing an extensive fish survey on the lake. This is the first significant survey they have done on the lake since they really started to agressively stock the lake.
Jason I think one of those evenings we hook up together I would like to see if I could get my picture taken with this purty girl![:bigsmile:]

| Did they say HOW many fish they got.....I heard only 6 total in the nets, but I could be wrong
This lake is missing many year classes. The DNR failed to stock the lake due to poor access by the public for about 6 years. The Milwaukee chapter in the last couple years has put between 80 and 100 fish in this 1700 acre lake.
Fishing the lake, I have found a big GAP in year classes. Either you get small....or a fattie, not much in between.
The glory days of this lake, when I was guiding was the early to mid 90's....since then it has not been my favorite choice of lakes. Its has good forage and grews very heathy fish, but stocking efferts have been poor and lots of fish have been lost over the dam.
For those interested in this pond get there early. The ramp has only room for 20 boats and fills full at 4:30am during the season. The bass boys fill it up fast. There are other means of launching but is too hard to explain.
By the way...I believe person holding the fish works for the DNR...should they be putting fish in the paper...advertising bodies of water to get over pressured. Slamr...would you like the IN DNR to do that...Hahaha |

| I have not been there in a couple of years but I did catch a fat 38" fish last time there. Tons on cisco in this lake can make a great fishing lake if managed right. Lots of northerns too.
Just as many spots to park at the public ramp as lake x and has the same problem, you better get there early to get a spot to park. |

| Ok...the MF outing stands like this on May 18th
1)Okauchee in the morning..4am to 11am
2)Lunch at Subway 1/2 mile down the road(on slamr)
3)Oconomowoc lake in the afternoon 12pm to dark. For the real DIE HARDS without wifes!
If you guys want to do this...I can get some arrangements set up at local hotels and bars..
Everyone be at the landing at 4am..or you WONT get on the lake.
