In a surprise move, Matt "thedude" Wendell gurantees victory in the upcoming IMTT event to be held on Pewaukee. Though the team of thedude and Joel "Tuffy1" Michel has come close in a number of past events, they have thus far been unable to get to the winner's circle. Regardless of past close calls, including losing first place by less than an inch, Wendell went out on a limb today, saying that that they will be taking first place at the Pewaukee event to be held this Saturday. "It looks to be a full field. Joel has a serious plan of attack. We'll win it for sure." said Wendell earlier today via a MuskieFIRST private message interview.

With $5000 for first place, and $10,000 to the team who boats the first 50" muskie, there will undoubtably be more than a few teams now charged up to erase this bold prediction.

Sounds like TheDude has been hitting the caucasians. I wish I could be there to see him and his freakishly tall partner try to back up such a bold statment.

I'll be at a piano recital.

In a just completed follow-up interview, Joel "Tuffy1" Michel supported his partner's bold statements and went so far as to issue the same gurantees of success. "Right now we've got a solid plan A, but even if that falls through, any of our plans B,C, and D should be good enough to win", said Michel at an impromptu conversation that he himself initiated. Acknowledging that other competitors would be aware of his teams' predictions, he dismissed the thought that the pressure would get to him and Wendell, "they'll definitely be gunning for us, but we feel pretty confident that we'll win".

Stay tuned for more breaking news as it happens.

These type of comments aren't really that surprising I guess. I noticed them whispering back and forth during the brat eating session of the last event. They would glance this way and that, and then chuckle together with self-satisifed looks on their faces. They seemed quite smug for a team that finished out of the money. I wonder what plans A, B, and C might actually entail?

I don't want to throw a wrench into the well made plans but I talked to Joel today and the plans have changed. Thats right after maybe many nights of countless hours of planning for this event, one call from the Netman has change the masterpiece of plans to something new. BRING SUCKERS

I heard he promised a little kid in a hospital that he would catch two muskies during the tournament. I bet he will even point to the spots, then go catch them!

Classic example of wrong thinking. If they win the price goes up, it will then be a "winners" boat.

I heard they are so sure of victory that Joel has invited a member of the media to "ride along" for the day. We will get video and written commentary of the win. No secrets left after this tourney...

But can Joel beat the team of Muhlburg and Muhlburg! Kevins kids in the point standings running for team of the year.

Joel its going to be tough beating the young Muhlburg. Last year he got two fish early and was off the lake eating a blizzard at Dairy queen laughing at the rest of us poor souls. Your not as young as you used to be Joel. Watch out for the young gun!

As long as I beat him to the can this time, I'll be happy.

Word has it, we might be able to bribe the young Mahlberg with a tickle me Elmo.

Hopefully he has mercy on us old guys this time.
