after a day off casting and trolling on Mille lacs 7 oct 2010 My partner Anita boated a nice pike tnen 5 minutes later netted my biggest 52" w 27" girth " fatty previous best a 51....

Nice fish! Was the girth measured or estimated? I'm just wanting to compare this fishes girth with a 52" I caught recently.

Are you implying the body may grow faster than the head when they're young?

Or that the growth of the head surpasses the growth rate of the body when they're old?
