Location: Rhinelander. | As muskie anglers we all probably have more baits then we will ever need,for sure way more then our wives think we need. Anyway I know we all have mepps, reefhawgs,bulldawgs,suicks and cowgirls and all the other popular baits. What I'm wondering is which bait have you had great success with that really is is not well known. There have been plenty to come and go over the years. I'll have to try to get a picture of the one in my box that has been good to me. I totally forgot what it is called. lets here what yours is. Thanks...

| Before the big glide bait explosion I used to catch a few fish on Tek-neks. They're not exactly unheard of, but lesser known than Hughes River baits and what not. I haven't thrown one for a couple years, since they tend to shred your forearms and I've gotten a little soft. Definitely a good trigger bait, but not always the best hooking. |

| I have some small topwaters that were made in Barneveld before the tornado put them out of business,.......I think.
They are called Surfin' Badgers and Buzzin' Badgers. Like a Topper, but made out of wood and ride real low in the water and made a real subtle wake, but they were the first topwaters that I caught fish with. |

I use a whizz often and it is a great bait. I do make my own as I do one different with mine. Been doing this a long time. A much bigger blade I put on mine.

Location: Athens, Ohio | I just got a 6 inch and a 9 inch Big Game minnow baits, man I can't wait to throw them this weekend. If you've ever seen a Bengals helmet, they look about like that - black tiger stripes on an orange that you could see across the lake. The 6 is supposed to be a near-surface lure, cool!
I get to fish Melton Hill this weekend, those Tn muskies are in for a big surprise. Thanks to Mr. J for turning me on to these~! m |

| I never considered the Big Games a "sleeper"bait. Been using them since they came on the market and always a very productive bait. Another one that I think of as a "forgotten" lure is the Smity cranks. Nice size, great action, catch fish, priced right. Need I say more? |

| Tr Twitchers are a sleeper. I don't think they are made any longer, I sure am glad I have a good selection. |

My 2 secret baits. Tek neek and Rizzo Wizz. Many years ago I bought a Rizzo at Northern Hghland sports and caught my first over 40 on it. I only use 1 color and make about 10 at a time. I've caught fish on the one color everywhere from small stained lakes in Wisc. to clear Canadan lakes. I have about 10 Neeks that Stan Durst painted for me that don't get used much anymore but when things get real tough I bring em out. Always move fish
