Where are you headed this weekend to ply the H2O for Muskies? I'm on my way next week to the Can Am Walleye Tournament in Dryden...right on Wabigoon! I have to meet with some business folks a couple times, but I should have a few hours to pitch for a muskie or two.

You?

I am gonna rip Minnetonka to sheds this weekend. Both Tonka and I are gonna be sore on Monday. If no fish by Sunday afternoon, I put down the rods and pick up a girl at big island, probably have a better chance with the muskies though.

Heading to the Hayward area to fish with Scott Kieper on Saturday. First time my uncle or I have EVER hired a guide. Hoping to come home a smarter fisherman than I was before I left. Maybe I'll have some fish pictures too. Hopefully fishing the lakes around home on Sunday after getting home. Hope you have some pictures from that too!

I'll be leaving for Cass lake in the morning. Some relatives are camping there so I'll go up and hang out for a little bit... and then fish the rest of the time.

gee, only 7 days left till I'm on a plane and out of NYC, heading for some minnesota Muskie hunting. I have 3 weeks to play with and it's funny how everyday my wife adds something new to MY schedule. Anyway, I'm planning 10 or 11 days total on the water, including a couple on Gull with my wife and daughter. I'd gladly sacrifice my time on the water fishing muskies just so my 7 year old gets a chance to catch a 5 slam (sunfish, perch, walleye, bass and pike in that order).

I'm setting up my milk runs of lakes to fish and studying the maps to pass the time.

I will be staying home this weekend to help my son pack for college. Next Friday, we move him into the dorm, then my wife and I head out of town for a week of musky fishing on Vermilion.

I am going to head to the closest lake around me that has muskies in which is an hour plus drive. That would be up in the Alexandria area, the fish have been starting to go up there as of late. Then I am going to be out on Green Lake trolling some open water walleyes. Gotta love those deep running tail dancers.

Kashagawigamog Lake up in the Haliburton area of Ontario. Last time I was there I saw an old-timer pitching spoons out of a 14 foot duck boat, and he showed me the spot where he raised a 6 footer. To quote him exactly, "...it was at least six feet long, with a head bigger than my outboard."

Ah, to fish, perchance to dream...

Had a good week up on Eagle a week ago...this weekend, it's time to dig around in the hunting clothes and gear and start getting "more" ready for my archey elk hunt in about 5 weeks!! 20-35 yards looking sweet, now it's out to 40-45 this weekend.

Hey Brian,
50, 49.5, 45, 43, 40 and a couple in the high 30"s.
Two guys came mid week and stayed up this week too and I know they had two 50's earlier this week...not sure what else.

Man, if we would have gotten the fish we had on (short biters on an 8) it would have been a super week!

The fishing barbarians are headed to the Big Chip for the week.
Team Whistlepecker will surely tie into something, not neccessarily a muskie..
