Posts: 10 | Anyone have suggestions or experiences with polarized glasses, have some but was interested in a more quality pair, any specific brand names or $ amount to get a decent pair. Looked at some Oakleys but dont really like any of the styles they have, also saw some solar bat ones. Just wondering what everyone else seems to like or dislike.

Posts: 267 Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana | I have been wearing solar bats this year. I am very happy with them, so I will probably buy an even nicer pair for next year.

Posts: 480 | I recently bought some eyeglasses for welding on ebay because I like the side shields. My eye doctor popped out the saftey lenses and put in prescription polarized safety lenses back in for $40. Safety lenses are polycarbonent and inexpensive. Peefect for hooks flying around. She fitted them to face and ears so they a super comfortable. I had to buy 10 of frames though. So if anyone wants a cheap pair of welding frames they're $7.00 shipped to your door. Pm me if anyone is interested. Duff

Posts: 1270 | Costa del Mar get's my vote, I have 3 pair of them now and love every pair of them. Personally I would stay away from Oakleys as I have had several pairs of them and the lenses are just plain to fragile. Every pair of Oakleys I had was scratched so bad as to being unusable within a year. My Costas are 1, 3, and 5 years old and the lenses all look like the day they were new!

Posts: 406 Location: Stones throw away...finally!! | I have a pair of Costa Tubines with blue lenses. Ran about 180.00. I don't like taking them out of the boat because of the chance of losing them or breaking them, so picked up a pair of Smith's with amber lenses for daily use in the truck and as backup pair on the boat and like them equally as well. They were about 45.00 off of ebay from a store. Great looks on both glasses.

| There are a LOT of good Polarized glasses out there. I have owned a few including Oakleys, Maui Jims, and Costas. No compalaints with these. If I had to chose I would say the Costa Del Mars get the nod! | |||

Posts: 185 Location: Pound, WI | My favorite pair are Maui Jim's, but when I needed prescription, I went with H3O's. The H3Os are great, but I won't win any fashion contests. Brian

Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | I also really enjoy the H30's. I'm actually going to pick up an extra pair of them so I have one set for work and one set for fishing. The work ones are just now showing a hair of scratching after the second year of wear, but nothing that affects the performance of the lenses whatsoever. I've been really pleased.
