Can't wait!!!!!We're almost done with the 1st run of XXX bucktails and will have all 12 colors available at the show along with some other "prizes".The list of colors is below.

NightStalker-All black with nickel blades
Cracker-All white with nickel blades
Firetruck-All red with red blades
Red Dragon-Black/red/black/red with red blades
Hawkeye-Black/yellow/black/yellow with gold blades
Halloween-Black/orange/black/orange with orange blades
Bloody Sunrise-Yellow/red/yellow/red with Flame blades
Hot Perch-Black/chart./black/chart. with Flame blades
Walleye-Brown,yellow/brown,yellow/brown,yellow/white!! with gold blades
Kotex-Red/white/red/white with red blades
Tangerine Dream-Orange/chart./orange/chart. with 1 orange and 1 chart.
Skunk-Black/white/black/white with nickel blades
Bloody Skunk-Black/white/black/white with red blades

I did make up a few oddball colors as well.Cool stuff. With all the talk about the Weagle lately, the XXX has been on the backburner. Not anymore!I/WE guarantee big fish on this bait this season. It's a niche bait, and not the right tool for some situations, but 1 cast and you'll agree, it's got BIG FISH written all over it.Built with MOJO, using .062 wire,4 seperate ties of marabou, only 1 joint , (3) 7/0 Mustad 3551's,and a little extra to make it MOJO worthy. We've shrink wrapped the joint and the back hook for foolproof casts in ANY wind. This bait will NOT wrap around on itself.Hehehehe.See ya'all there! Here's a pic.

This one is from the prototype batch that SJ and I built this Fall.

I belive Lambeau is now the proud owner of this bait from the KLY Auction.

15" long, 2 #10 Colorado blades, and a TON of marabou

Sweet baits guys. The shad/cisco demo XXX made it's way into Webster on Saturday. No takers on that day but I guarantee those fish haven't seen a bucktail that moves as much water as the XXX. I slowed rolled it about 12-15ft down just waiting for Shamoooski to come up and t-bone it!!

nope, not lambeau (he got the blue one)...it hangs (along w/ the rest of my collection) from the ceiling joists from my basement now...yeah, you gotta either go around it or duck - or you're gonna get smacked in the forehead. They're huge! I really think they're going to be responsible for getting people into some very big fish this year.

I have thrown mine on an 8'H Avid and a 8'H Fig Rig Extreme Series. For the reel, I use a Garcia 7000, but I use those on just about all of my rods.

Any rod in the 7'6MH - 8'H range and a reel with a 5.3:1 ratio should work just fine.

They actually fish alot easier than they look like they would.

Luke, any chance we can get a preview of the colors, pre-show?

I know Mr. Jonesi has a digital camera in his possession.

Bloodyskunk is a cool paint job. Now I can replace my 'holographic' Weagle, er I mean the weagle without a point job, just clearcoat! LOL

I'm liking the "tangerinedream" myself. Looks like I better take out a loan for this week! ha!

and they seem to have a few new gliders that might be added to the line-up! I'm really hot for the big and skinny drop bellies, might have to hit the ATM before show's end!

Just picked up a XXX from the show. Wow! Great craftmanship! Can't wait to actually get out and throw it. Anyone that knows me knows that I am not big into "bucktails". So this is saying a lot for the XXX! Plus Steve And Luke are great guys!
Joe
P.S. Better pick one up soon if you want one. They only had a couple left (Sat afternoon).
