Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | If you KNEW your chances at a 50"er, were slim, I mean VERY slim....but there was a good chance for a 40-42", and a strong chance at a fat 48"? You'd have to work to catch a fish, and probably see (on a good day) maybe 6-7 fish in the water, with maybe 2 eaters....but you'd have a relatively pressure free lake, with great scenery and a peaceful setting.
Would you fish that lake? |

Good action, too. Beat the lake down the road with a great chance at a 50 or better, but lots and lots of resort traffic over the holiday weekend...  |

Heck, there are NO lakes like that around here. I think they are all in Minnesota and Canada. All pin fish around here lacking any shoulders. Big heads and no bodies.
Oh, did I ever tell you guys that I am a compulsive liar as well!!! Just kidding.
Good luck this weekend Steve, Slamr and Lambeau. I will be in the shop by 7:00am tomorrow or so, let Kristy sleep in for a day. Stop in before you head out if you want.

| be there tomorrow --- the pressure's so lite in 5 years i've never seen anyone else fishing ski's. lots of mid 40's to high 40's --- mostly tiger's but a few pures --- can't wait. |

Location: Avilla, IN | I fished Webster Friday and talked to a DNR employee that had interviewed over 20 boats. On the flip side, I fished the Boulder Junction area in early October and would typically see maybe 2-3 boats on any given lake. Though the DNR and local musky clubs have done a tremendous job of developing the Indiana fishery, the fish here get hammered. I had an unbelievably great time in Boulder Junction fishing mostly undeveloped lakes with very little competition. I cannot wait to get back. Our problem was deciding what lake to fish. Sign me up.
