I caught my personal best 48" muskie on Saturday just after dark in Indiana.

Was headed into the dock after a really rough day of fishing(fished hard from 7:30-5p with a total of 3 follows for me and my pops). I decided to leave a sucker out about 30 feet off the pier. Did so, pulled into the shore station and was working the sucker in just popping it occasionally from the pier and it started moving left. Asked my pops to shine the spotlight out and see a tail a good 5 feet behind my bobber. Finally got her going away from me and heave-ho!!! Netted her off our pier, a few pics and off she went. This is now a family best so dad will be hitting it hard to correct that this fall!!!

Congrats on the fish!

I believe I may have spoke with you and John Routt the other night at the Lakeview Restuarant to hear your story? Was that you?

Even a greater fish for this past weekend....Webster was tough...fish still not willing to really bite yet. Suckers seemed to be the way to go.

Probably wasn't me MACK...didn't make it to the Lakeview this trip home. Jimmy's twice or you possibly could have heard it from a friend of ours.

Yeah...lure fishing was rough the last week....sucker bite was great though. Casted our butts off with no strikes, and unfortunately went 1 for 6 on converting suckers...but man am I glad she was the conversion.

tight lines

Wow Josh...you look a lot like the guy I talked to at the Lakeview the other night. LOL! With the beard and all...thought it was you...just couldn't be sure. Heck..this guy that looks like you caught a 48 that night as well. Never did get the guys name. I was brain dead that night and was in dire need of some much needed sleep at that point...

Congrats all the same!

Your still killing me with that you and your dad KILL me, sorry I ran out so fast after you guys got to Jimmys wanted to catch the end of the sox game that night. I then left first thing in the morning to get to the Sunday night sox game. Great fish Josh and as long as you didn't catch it on the "R" word lure thats fine by me. Would like to get to NY to do some of the stripper fishing. Why dont you post that picture of the stripper you caught next to your musky I would like to see them next to each other or send me an e-mail....

Bob

For you Bobby...anything;)..(the photo). Hope to beat my striper best in the next month if possible...but who knows. If I had the R lure I would have thrown the chit out of it...but it's in for minor sugery. Priest is about all I have going for me, but Gonzalez is showing flashes of his old self.

Careful with that whole stripper/striper thing(check your post).....people will get the wrong idea. Stripper fishing is something totally different.

Good to see last week.

Josh

Great fish Josh! Can't wait to get back up there myself. Good job keeping bait in the water till the last dog dies! Sometimes it pays big dividends.
