| Soooo many materials used on "bucktails" today, each one providing a different action/appeal.Every color under the rainbow.Good sucess with Marabous and Llungen Tails the past few years.New favorites are the Showgirl and Cowgirl lines from Musky Mayhem, which are tied with Flashabou(not tinsel) and one I started throwing last year, the Hans Tail, which is tied with Coyote fur.They look incredible in the water.Tough to keep the smallies off of 'em.Coolest tail I own.Tied with hide!With all the "specialty" baits on the market today I think tails get lost in the shuffle.Is it Spring yet? | I have always maintained that you could throw away all your other lures and still catch lots of muskies on bucktails and Suicks. Both classic baits are overlooked today, but they still catch fish as well as ever. With the new innovations of the last couple of years, bucktails are more powerful than ever. Custom Llungen Tails, Magnum Boo Tails, TM Tails, Shumway Flashers, and Shumway Funky Chicken Bucktails are my favorites, along with the new Showgirls that look so great in the water, and Mepps Musky Marabous. I also like VooDoo Tails, Buchertails, Big Kahunas and Eagle Tails. The bigger bucktails like Big Kahunas and Eagle Tails are even good for trolling.
I always have some type of bucktail on one of my rod/reel combos!

| Hi everyone,
Anything that Ron Douglas from Crazy "D" Tackle ties for me is what I use. Ron is a class act and his product whether regular old bucktail or maribou is the best. I can't remember when I bought something else.

Have you purchased any of the Hanstails lately? I have one that I've caught a few fish on and would like to get a few more if they are still being made. Any help in finding some would be greatly appreciated.
I like the Hanstail, Rubberhairy and Figure 8 bucktails best of all.

Had any luck with Showgirl and Cowgirl's on clear water ? So many to choose from. I also use Eagles and have cut of the rear single on all my eagles and replaced em with split ring and 5/0 treble. Had better hook ups .........
