Mine went into the garage yesterday. Would have been nice to fish in the warm temps next week before the bottom falls out again, but I'll be flinging carbon sticks at deer. You?

Putting mine away this week. I’m done. Weather looks nice but time to switch to deer mode.

Hoping to get one last day on the water next weekend. Maybe two, if I can get Friday or Monday off. Then it's mothballs for the boat for the season.

Mine went to bed in Mid-September this year as I just was not going to get a chance to be out. I have had a few opportunities to visit the woods for bambi and have mom in the freezer, with a couple of more day trips to wisconsin to get bambi.

Golf clubs in hand this week... Then...I'll be thinking ice, pike on tip-ups and and walleyes in the portable soon...

Steve

Not even close. Went out yesterday. Going this week and weekend. Will be going until Thanksgiving according to weather and my phone has been very accurate this year so far. The latest muskie I caught was a couple years ago got one on December 12th in Wisconsin and hoping for another Christmas musky this year!! I mean please let me fish until December cuz no winter shows means losing what little is left of my mind. Not looking forward to this winter and I apologize ahead of time for any of the mindless posts I write that stem from the no musky show crisis ahead when winternet officially starts.

I tucked mine away about 7 or 8 days ago, but I am heading back up tomorrow to get her reassembled for another 6 or 7 days on the water. I have 2 hours on a new motor, and am hoping to have her broke in before laying her up again. I have heard some good reports in the Three Lakes area. Good Fishin.

Just now replaced the axle on my river boat trailer, so, I will be back on the river fishing soon. Took 6 weeks for my new axle to come in.
I've been hunting a buck behind my house for the past two weeks and finally got him Halloween morning.
Back to fishing now.

Never put it up. Find liquid water and send it.

Not yet. Fished Old Abe (Jim Falls, WI) yesterday. With work & and a bow hunting tag to fill, that was probably the last trip of the year.

Boat done as of today. Managed to get out one last day yesterday given that the weather was incredible - but weird given the time of year. The drive out to Winnipeg River in the dark both ways had some moments with close calls on highway with bucks running around - one real nice 5x5 with a beautiful mahogany thick rack was oblivious to my truck/trailer as he was walking straight down the shoulder like a hitchhiker - there were a couple of casualties on way back that weren't there in morning. No snow and most people not realizing that time of year again.

Once on the water did some trolling to scout for bait, and once found did both some jigging with bondies and other rubber, casting, etc. Also worked some funnel areas and some other spots that are good the rest of the year. Cabbage still looked great.
One good bite on bulldawg while casting (could have been pike) and a good follow on bondy on finder, but no muskies caught or officially sighted - the lone other boat I saw fishing did get at least one 37" and an array of other species as they were mixing up their effort.

Did troll up a real nice fat 36"+ pike.

Temps were 40-41 F surface temps and air temp up to... 68 F. Scorching for this time of year.

Beautiful day to be out. Ducks and deer hunting done for me - looks like grouse hunting until we get some decent ice. Warm temps here are done.

My boat is winterized and stored. Yesterday while working outside I saw a guy fishing for musky out from my place and felt a little jealous. However, I really appreciated changing the oil in my utv on Nov. 8 in a t-shirt and enjoying the sunshine.

Now, when it gets cold, hope the snow holds off so that trails can firm up for the snow machines and the lakes make ice quickly.

Spent yesterday getting my boat ready for musky fishing. Here in the south I am switching gears into musky mode as you guys are getting done for the season.
