Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How did you do on the waters of North America this weekend? Keith and I Match Fished on George and Spider. We moved 25 fish, lost two, and missed several. Keith got the attached 44 on Saturday, and the 33 on the last cast Sunday. We moved a PIG Sunday night, I figure a clean 50. That fish is targeted by Keith now, big time. Attachments ---------------- IMAG0039.JPG (63KB - 202 downloads) IMAG0032.JPG (114KB - 194 downloads)

Posts: 3926 | Just Ranger Musky Fishing Club of North America (JRMFCNA) hosted a visit from MusyE for 12+ hours of fishing on Saturday. As usual in mid-summer hereabouts, the fishing was dang slow with only one upper 30"s follow noted. Many largemouth were caught all day long, however, which provided some action as well as one very stupid picture of Ranger holding a 16" bass in his teeth.

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Fished Okauchee on Fri night with the little lady. Boated 2 pike, one which was a 27"er (her biggest so she was excited) missed 2 'skies. One in the mid 30s at boatside, and another that felt good trolling. Fish were stacked on the windward weedlines and points. Missed a few others, but I think they were pike.

Posts: 39 | Fished Tonka for 3 hours on Saturday AM with a friend from Texas (non-fisherman). Hooked and boated a 45 inch muskie with a fine net job from the Texan. This is my first legal muskie...yah whoo!!! It took a while but the fish swam off strong.

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | Bill Schwartz and I trolled Okachee Lake for 4 hours Sunday morning. It was prime with a front coming through, with a nice chop on the water. Final Score:O-Fer Sunday.

Posts: 492 Location: Lindenhurst, Illinois | Fished Le Bowl Saturday and Sunday (I've got to find a better place to go) and had one fish up that followed a figure 8 eight times around but wouldn't hit. Anything else of note is covered in my post "what a way to start the day".

Posts: 550 Location: So. Illinois | Practiced with a few new lures on Saturday with little to no focus on hooking anything. Experimented with several baits hooked to different rod and reel combinations to learn what mixe worked best. My wife was with me getting used to her new setup. She was using a spinner bait as I tried to teach her the finer points of bulging. She was the only person in the boat to hook into anything -- me. I made the mistake of looking away after I gave her some pointers. She buried the 3/0 spinnerbait hook in my upper arm right in the area you would typically receive a shot. I can now vouch for how important a good pair of mini-boltcutters are. Chief

Posts: 194 Location: Lincolnshire, IL | My buddy Jim and I fished Caldron Falls Sunday from about 7:30 - Noon:30, I pretty much threw the box at 'em while Jim mainly threw bucktails, one follow from a 30" fish on a 8" Hughey.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Spent most of the weekend driving home from LOTW, but the last two hours of the trip on Friday I nailed a 42.5 and a 48 on TopRaiders. Boat partner also lost a fish in the mid 40's during that stretch. The fish were moving like crazy the last couple hours of the trip, there were storms just missing us and it really jazzed the fish up. Really didn't care to leave.

Posts: 125 Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | I saw quite a few fish on Mille Lacs but didn't manage to put any in the boat. I did however manage to catch three walleye. Two of them came while twitching cranks in deep weeds and the third came on a bucktail in about five feet of water. The size of them was typical for Mille Lacs. All were between 22 and 26 inches.

Posts: 743 | As for the weekned, was only on the water friday, in a plane on saturday, back home on Sunday...I had a hit on the Crackpot that sounded/felt like someone dropped a car on my bait (Friday)!!! probably had 15 fish to boat by 3:00 in the afternoon. the only day i got skunked last week was Friday, so that's my weekend report. but the 4 days prior to last weekend was much better to me. i put 9 in the boat. "Get the F&*kin' net, DON'T COME OFF, DON'T COME OFF" (do these words sound familiar, Norm? "is that a wake behind my bait?" "and my grandpa put this leather glove on, grapped that chipmunk...." "What does that creeper sound like" "6 times!?!", "that's too long, you shouldnt' have fig 8'ed that long" peace to all. tomcat

Posts: 5874 | I fished Tonka last Wednesday evening with the Shady one. Had one decent fish escort my Suick from his territory. Shady caught bass and a pike. Was a nice night for fishing, but wish the wind would have been a little stronger. Not sure why the boat made a complete spin at one point. Saturday, I fished Mille Lacs with Treat Daddy. Got out by 6:45 and fished til noon. Nothing showed itself, cuz the whole time Treats was wishing he was on Tonka! Treats did get a decent pike. It was hot, humid, and with very little breeze. Had a good time though, and Treats has a pretty fast boat! Man, is that front deck long! Thanks guys, for a couple fun outings when I was up there!

Posts: 1310 Location: Washington, PA | Had two up on Friday night, one more up on Sunday, my buddy lost one Sunday that would have been his first, all told, no muskies to the boat, one sauger that hit a bucktail to show for our efforts.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Tomcat, I have tears in my eyes I am laughing so hard. Wish I would have brought my video camera for that creeper episode, that was priceless. Got to fish tonight for league, I think I'm going to try to catch a 4 inch perch before we start.

Posts: 229 Location: Willoughby, Ohio | I got a 43 1/2" & a 38" on Saturday to win our MI chapter tournament on Leesville Lake. My fishing partner got a 30" as well. Only 4 other fish caught in the weekend tournament, two 35"s, 34" & 28". I guess even a blind pig finds an acorn every now and then. :)
