Posts: 376 Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN | I really like the baits from H20 and I gotta agree there is nothing easier than a Manta. I still throw my old Reef Hogs and they still catch fish. "Ace"

Posts: 656 Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | Phantoms, all styles from the original to the 6 and 8 inch deep models, to the squirrely ones, and I got my hands on one of the rare 12 inch phantoms that I can't wait to throw. Well made and consisent action from bait to bait which is very hard to acheive in a wood lure. I also like the 6 inch Reef Hawgs. I have Hughes Rivers, Mantas and Cobbs and various other glide baits. But after years of spending money on different ones looking for the "best" I've deceided that I just stick with buying Phantoms and 6 inch Reef Hawgs from now on.

Once you get control of the glider and know what it can do, make the glider shoot down right before the 8. This get's them to go quite often. The "death dive". If they don't eat then, then I go into the 8, but use your rod to swim the bait instead of dragging it straight.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Here are some of the new Perkettes baits ready to hit the water this opener. I will be happy to post the results of these new gliders. I just thought I would share these with everyone since Beaver is not a big self promo guy. Attachments ---------------- beavs baits.bmp (158KB - 104 downloads)

Posts: 202 Location: Angola, IN | TRUEGLIDES!!! I own a lot of lures and I don't fish as much as some, but the best lure out there is a TrueGlide. The Hustlers offer one of the best belly-rolls/2-part glide I've ever seen. The Humpback can be worked in an assortment of ways, but most resembles the action of a Phantom on steroids. The Guppie is KILLER. Joe's baits are so darn good, they catch fish working them or just reeling them straight in.....I'm sure you can catch fish trolling them as well. No one has better paint schemes or epoxy finish. And if you want a special treat, get one of his FOIL patterns. WOW!!! TrueGlides RULE!!!! I work the 7" Nitro with quick pops of the rod on a slack line, with a varying cadence. If I wanted more of a true glider (almost strictly side to side) I go with the 8" Nitro. I also like the HR Hughey for strictly gliding The undertaker use to be a favorite, but that has been replaced by the Nitro.

Posts: 110 Location: Albertville, Minnesota | Mantas and Undertakers. I upsized the hooks on the Mantas, and have had some better hooking percentages. Also, that Smokies exclusive color....smokin bluegill looks to dang good on one of my mantas. GMG got me hooked on the undertakers. Are people throwing Mr. Automatics? Chris
