Posts: 21 | The time is nearly here again. The cooking and gathering tents are up.The food, beverages, tackle and all the gear and supplies are on the island. Many of the guides arrived last night and the rest will be here today and based on a short test run yesterday, the fish are again ready to accommodate the Vets. They'll be meeting in Warroad tonight and tomorrow after their breakfast sponsored by Marvin Windows will be escorted by Honor Guards and the Patriot Riders to the border where US Customs officials will escort them on to Youngs Bay. Once again we wish to thank Muskies First and all our sponsors and supporters for helping make this Operation possible and supporting all Vets.Stay tuned to us here for daily updates and pictures as the Operation goes on.

Posts: 21 | Hi.quite a first day with some very rough weather.Guess some of the guides encountered severe storms.Regardless they and the Vets came through well with quite a few muskies and nice pike.Sorry I don't have a final tally for the day but I know there was a 51 and 3/4,a 47 and quite a few others-guessing about 6 or 7 others.Due to rain and mosquitos I'll have a daily total and pictures tomorrow.

Posts: 21 | Here's some more images. The weather has been crazy, big winds and showers that are less than predictable, but the Vets are having a great time. Several 'first' muskies have been caught, and the big Smallmouth Bass and Pike are cooperating. Posts: 21 | Lake of the Woods has been a challenge. Tough fishing conditions with rain, windy and cool, or sunny and calm. The guides have been working hard to find fish for the Vets. Trying different baits, different bait presentation and sharing info with each other. The water is getting searched from 1 foot to 35 feet 30 miles in every direction. The Vets? Well, we knew they were tough. Hanging in there, working hard, cheerful and having fun. Posts: 21 | Finally had a day of sunshine, with a little wind for the final day of Operation Muskie. The hours of guides and vets hard work paid off today. Many fish were caught, missed a few and saw many more. Lots of fish stories told around the campfire. Thanks to all the generous people that make Operation Muskie happen, it was another successful year of OM!! All the smiles tell the story.
