| What rod do you all use to throw Bulldogs, magnums and pounders? What I have now is too much work. What combo would make it easier? |

Location: Denmark | I started to throw the Mark Lijewski 7,8" last week, best mag bulldawg rod I have ever thrown. Very well balanced handle length, combined with a rigid and fast blank. Going to buy one more soon. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | What are you currently using? Do you have a budget? Are you looking for custom or off the shelf? At the end of the day it really comes down to budget and personal preference. Some people will tell you that you need a $500 custom Predator and others will tell you that you only need a $150 Tackle Industries rod, and neither person will be wrong because it’s what works for them. |

| Had the $500 rods. The Tackle Industries 9' XXH is my favorite rod for mags and pounders by far. Yes its "only" $150 but your going to get the fell of a $500 rod. |

PS-If you want to spend $500 have Tuscarora custom rods built you a custom rod on a Tackle Industries blank. My next rod will come from Tuscarora rods. |

Location: Minnesota | Had TI rod for pounder's i did not like how it loaded to soft . So bought a predator put a Tranx HG great pounder set up. But what i like may not be what you like |

| Thanks for the help guys. No, I don't really want to spend 500 bucks. The TI rod sounds interesting. How important is the longer butt? That is the second time I've heard that mentioned. |

Location: SE Wisc and Vilas County | never fished with a TI rod but the monster mag bulldawg rod is a great rod for throwing rubber. like mentioned above it is all about what you like and what kind of budget you have. |

Those longer fatter handles on the TI rods are really comfortable. Just icing on the cake! |

| I used TI rod extra extra heavy it worked but, Thorne Bros had it once a month fixing the guides. Muskie innovations rods work the best in my book. For a little more money, guides last. |

Broken/cracked guides are the #1 consumer complaint for ANY rod company. I have talked with most over the last 3 years including SC. We use Fuji the same as the many of the higher priced rod companies use. Well, we used to but we had as many guide issues as most other rod companies so we are moving all of our rods over to new hardened alloy guide rings now. Only way you can break a TI guide now is step on it!

| +1 on the TI's. I've never had one fail in any way. They're fantastic. Softer than a St. Croix, but the way it loads really helps with throwing big rubber. |

| Have had very good luck with Musky Innovations pro series monster mag rods. I use the 8'6" it is great for pounders and mag dawgs. It was $165 |

And Vince with Migizi rods is one of the main people I talked with that convinced me to go with the alloy guide rigs. I still owe you a few ice cream cones
