Best bowl game of the year. No matter what team won just glad it was OHIO STATE. To WVMusky all I have to say is Miami who? And Magahee who? Way to go Ohio State!!!!!! Told you that they had the best run defense in the country. Happiest person On this board [:)] [;)] [:p] [8)] [::)] [] [:sun:] [] [:praise:]

please. Magahee was held to 67 yard rushing and Dorsey finaly found out that he cant carry a team like he thinks he can. He though he should be player of the year over Carson Palmer he couldn't shine carson Palmers shoes. Miami finally had to play a team with a strong defense and there nuts shriveled up and they choked it away. If you believe that Miami was a better team they why didn't they win if there the best.

I dont like either team, so this is an unbiased opinion. It is ridiculous to have a game, a great game to watch, decided by a ref. That pass interference call in OT was pathetic.

I suspect that the Miami running-back's knee injury is pretty severe.
Looked like either major ligament damage or a broken tibia/fibula just below the knee.

Brutal injury, hope he gets better and is able to play again.

musky99 it could have gone either way with the call in ot. But how about the missed calls all night of the miami defense moving before the ball was snapped. I have watched the game twice now and counted 7 missed calls that miami should have been penilized. The game should have never went int OT. Jenkins was interfered with when he caught the ball out of bounce but there was no call. Then Miami ran it back putting them in feild goal range. Also if you watch the play again of the OT call Gamble was being held from the start of the play. Was it a good call I don't know but I know miami had there chance from the 1 yard line 4 times and couldn't score. Miami ran into a much better D then they were ready for. If you watch miami game most of the time when there offense hits a defenses player the defense is falling backwards but today it was miami falling backward. Miami couldn't keep up with a hard hitting team like Ohio State. As for Usc or Iowa being in the title game they all had there chances and lost there games miami nor Ohio State lost. Plus Iowa stinks they ran scores up on nothing teams and got ranked in a better position then they should have. Usc made them look silly in the orange bowl. I agree papajoe I hope magahee is all right. I wanted the bears to draft him because a blind man is better the To Slow Thomas.

First off I know more about Ohio State football then you and probably college football then you. Your just another jealous fan whos mad because whatever team you cheer for is sitting at home playing pocket pool. All I no is OHIO STATE IS NUMDER ONE AND YOUR TEAM IS A BUM.

Miami didn't do it. Ohio state did, and showed mighty resolve in holding off what appeared to be a more physically talented team. Miami had plenty of chances to prove their superiority including first and 10 on the 26 with 2 minutes left. Ohio stopped them and took their unimaginative and somewhat boring offense in for the win. Uhm anonymous, you certainly stand behind your opinions, thanks for sharing them with everyone.

20 years from now it's still going to read an OHIO WIN![:)]

Bad Calls are made in every game, and unfortunately the call made AT that time decided the game AT that time....the game IS over, and so be it...BUT- Buckeye Fan, you could be a little more congenial; a N.C. every 35 years is no streak! Congrats on the win, another example of why NO team is unbeatable! [:sun:]

Hey this post was directed to a buddy (WVMUSKY) who said miami would win. I have no idea who anon was and it wasn't intended to atart an argument. ohio State out played them when the game was on the line. I don't have to listen to a guy telling me a team is more talented that way they should have won. And then tell me I no nothing about the game. The guy should watch espn and watch the play were gamble caught the ball out of bounce in the forth quarter and was interfered with. The anouncers of espn even said were is the interference. Maybe Anon should watch that show. Because the call wasn't made they had to kick off and miami retured the ball to the 40 setting them up for a feild goal that sent it into OT. Miami has more talented players but Ohio State is an all around team with no real studs. Also he tells me USC,Iowa should have played that game well I know that USC lost a game and so did Iowa. And to I no for a fact Miami Nor Ohio State lost. If he can explain why USC lost 2 games and Iwoa Should have been there with 1 loss. Iowa lost to Iowa State and Iowa State lost to Boise State. Ohio State beat Michigan, Purde, minnesota, wisconsin, who all won there bowl games and ohio shouldn't have with 0 loss then I am ready to listen. I am mad because i was just happy and had to have some guy rain on my parade. I am 20 and have never had a team that i cheer for win anything big. I am an Ohio State fan and a Chicago Blackhawks fan and we all know the Hawks will never win a Stanly Cup.

This is my take. Miami has better football talented players. But Ohio State has a better team. If that makes any sense. I watched that game and the only thing I thought sucked was the anouncers, what a horrible group that was..... Ohio state won, and Miami lost. Thats why they play the game. I am not a big fan of the BCS anyways. But Remember this Mr. Annoy. Ohio St. and Miami WON all there Regular season game regardless of who they played and no one else did, I dont care what other teams did or didnt do, those two teams earned the right to battle it out in the championship game. Ohio State played with their (A) Game on Defense and proved why they ended up 14-0. And Dont even come in here and say I know nothing about the game, because I will shut the door on that one in a big hurry. So in the end I would Like to CONGRATULATE The Ohio St. Team and Buckeyes Fan on the Win.

Jim

I keep watching for a replay or different camera angle to see which official threw the flag on the play that screwed the canes out of the game. All I could see, and ascertain, by listening to the announcers was that the flag was thrown by the official closest to the play, after he waved incomplete pass with his arms . It was'nt the lastest flag i have ever seen , but darn close -- what a crime -- the game was over , some miami players celebrating BUT WAIT a flag comes in late , first and goal buckeyes etc etc Ohio State was a very gritty determined bunch , but the best in the land ?? I sure don't think so --- nice call ref . This year sure proves it takes some luck to go undefeated --- May they never complete another 4 down ---- Down with the Suckeyes --- ManitouDan

As a true neutral person who watches but the bowl games after January 1st every year and doesn't have a clue how college football conferences work. But as a true football fan I loved the game last night, first off it looked like Ohio wanted nothing to do with trying to score points but late in the first half when they got a couple of breaks. Then their defence took over and was just that much better then Miami's but overall they were the best team last night and truely deserve the title of Champion.

Go Buckeyes in 2003

I knew it!!!! I was supposed to go rockfishing but me truck is in the shop...at any rate, good to see a calmer mood here as the day goes on! Like Rich said, the game was one of the best in recent memory + is over. The field judge that made the call evidently had a better angle; just another reason for so many "zebras" on the field. All I know is that next year, w/ so many talented freshmen/sophomores, Wisconsin should be WAY up there! Being a Seminole fan, the past 2 years have been rough, but no team stays on top forever, + I can accept that; it's not good to let a game overcome ones self....

*Don't give up on the Blackhawks...I've been a Philly Eagle fan for years...they lose the Super Bowl in '80, and I'm STILL waiting for them to reappear! [:sun:]

I watched the game and looked to me like there shouldn't have even been an overtime.Ohio State recieved several bad calls from officials as well as Miami.I think Ohio State played a tougher game than MIami for sure.If State's Offense would have showed up for the game it would have been a Blow out.Never underestimate the Underdog. As for Iowa they were really overated and USC put them in they're place that was that.Plus Iowa's QuarterBack never showed up. On to The NFL playoff's.

Hey Buckeyes Fan,

Congrats your team won!! I'm a BIG 10 fan, so I was heppy. As far as Anon having issues up his ass, son't let him bug ya. We all know it was in fun, and I'd be stoked TOO if I were you!

Amazing how some people are so down on life, they've got to let it creep into every aspect of their life.

Anon is a sad-strange-little-man/woman, who doesn't understand fun. I wonder if he's pissed because he lost alot of money? Bummer if he did....oh well!!

Happy New Year to all of you at MuskieFirst.

God bless,
Donnie [;)]

I was just happy that i finally got to see a team that I root for win for the first time in my life. I agree sponge bob the hawks might win the cup one day but I will be dead long before that happens. Wartiz is to cheap. Wish he would sell the hawks to someone who cared.

'eye Fan, congrats to you and your team! As a born-and-raised Husker fan, I watched that game strictly for entertainment value. Miami had another one of their close games, but this time it wasn't Rutgers that they were struggling with. Buckeyes were able to seal the deal, and it was a great game. There were bad calls going to both sides, which is unfortunate, but there were opportunities for Miami to end the game, and they didn't.

I'll echo the sentiment about Anoy. Guy has no stones at all posting as anonymous and questioning your football knowledge. And as far as "the best team in the country not playing up to their potential.." I'll say this: If they can't be prepared and ready to play their best game after a month off, with a 34 game win streak going, and the national title on the line, then they didn't deserve to win anyway.
