I sat and had my coffee this morning and watched a squirral carry a half dozen walnuts in my boat. He placed all of them on my trolling motor backet. Is that some secret hidding place for nuts or is it just my boat.

Whats up with that?

Did you see anything abnormal about the squirrel's eyes? I read something about a 'blind squirrel' and nuts one time.

Try a 22 bb cap. Those things are REALLY good slow cooked in Mushroom soup and onions.[]

Are squirrels related to skunks? If so, I deny any, and all, responsibility!
Steve, with biscuits? Yum, Yum!

In the police academy they taught us that "all the squirels don't live in trees!"

Anybody know how to spell skwirl??? []

Hang on a second, you don't want a squirrel getting frindly with your boat, especially one of the little red devils. They can get in the smallest of places looking to stash nuts, and they may well chew your wires when they get there. This happened to my next door neighbor. Another friend's covered boat was chewed to pieces over the course of a winter: seats, life jackets, carpeting, and boy did they like the wiring.

During the summer, place some mothballs in a semi-emclosed container and affix it in your closed spaces. The smell will keep out all critters, including spiders. Put a more in your boat when you store it over the winter - a couple half full dixie cups work great. Throw them away come spring.

When my parents were out of town last year, Chipmunks hid nuts in the muffler of their car.

THey stuffed it so full that when my parents returned and started the car, it would barely idle. It was the roasted nut smell coming from the tailpipe that gave them away...

Unfortunately, they stuffed it so full the engine blew the head gasket before it was able to burn them all up......

I would get the 22 ready if I were you...

The reason the squirrel put the nuts in there is because he has seen them in there before. He will be putting them on your truck next.[;)]

I used to fish with a fellow who thought he was a squirrel. He'd sit in the boat all day and play with his nuts........[;)]

I think he was preparing his last meal, before Jason attaches him to a quick strike rig.

There's a squirrel in your boat?

That's not a very nice name to call your fishing buddy[:((] Sure he may act squirrely but I don't think he'll appreciate you posting such an insult for the whole world to see.[:0]

Oh, I'm sorry. You mean there is a real squirrel in your boat. Sounds to me like you should do some live bait fishing![:p] Do any of the tackle companies sell a squirrel harness?[]

Up at the Cass lake outing I will put some walnuts on the manafold of my 225 Opti...a few trips around the lake and we will have roasted walnuts for everyone.

I found two walnuts in my boat yesterday afternoon, I never checked my dry storage, there could be houndreds in there too. I guess the squirral has faith in the Tuffy as a safe dry place to store his nuts.

Before you use the boat again make sure that you have a little squirrel floatation devise! I think Cabela's may have them on sale in their closeout section. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with the Coast Guard![]

While you are at it, you can check cady's rear live well. I believe the midge had some nuts in there too.[:0] [;)]
