Posts: 153 Location: Antigo Wi. | Hey guys, if anyone hears of someone looking to sell a tackle box full of lures or 3 rod and reel combos, please contact me. the combos consisted of 1 8' gander bucktail rod with a induron 400, an 8' fig rig with a shimano corsair and a 7.5' spence petros with a pflueger trion 66. the tackle box is a black soft side with 7 plano boxes full of lures. thanks for any and all help. These items were all stolen out of my boat and truck while parked in my yard. Edited by breutzy 9/16/2009 4:47 PM

Posts: 742 Location: Grand Rapids MN | Sorry to hear that. Where are you located at? I assume who stole it would be from the general area so that will raise a red flag when they try to sell. opps.. seen you asked that question after posting Gerard.. Edited by Targa01 9/15/2009 8:52 PM

Posts: 131 | keep a eye on craigs list, call your local pawn shops dont tell them you got ripped off just ask them if they have any fishing stuff then check it out .if ya see anything thats yours than call the cops. Been through this a couple times, not with my fishing stuff but with a couple cabin breakins. You did report it to the police when it happened? Do you have pictures of what your missing? Again if you see your stuff on craigs list dont confront them just walk away and call the coppers let them handle it . having your stuff stolen sucks

Posts: 300 Location: Minocqua, WI | I feel the pain. Same deal happened to me last year in which the car window got smashed at a boat landing. Took all the rods. Didn't even touch the 5 cases of baits for some reason. (october '08) Stuff like this peees me off tremendously, and having it happen on your own property makes it even worse. But hey, lessons learned, right?

| Breutzy, I'm sorry to hear that and almost scared now. I live in Antigo as well and I'll be sure to keep my eyes and ears open. IMO, a sportsman would not do this to another sportsman. I would feel just sick. I also know the guy who owns the pawn shop in town - I'll tell him to let me know if ANY musky gear comes in. I feel very bad for you - and like Ranger said, I would be happy to give you a bait to help you rebuild. Really makes me want to get some insurance on my gear. | |||

Location: SE Wisconsin | You know, this reminds me of when my truck was broken into and they stole my CD player, but left the GPS, 5 rod/reels, my Big K and two lakewood boxes. It was parked across the street from a tavern in Pewaukee after we got off the water. . . Thankful, but seriously? Sorry to hear your loss as well.

Posts: 529 Location: Not Where I Want To Be | Sorry to hear the loss. It's pretty sad but with the economic times right now thieves are coming out of the woodwork. We had 1 of our tool trailers broken into and numerous things stole off of jobsites. Thankfully the police were able to nab one of the thieves and we got a bunch of our stuff back. Most thieves are not that smart when it comes to reselling stolen property. (Thankfully) Good Luck

| His was a black soft-sided box with 7 planos, but good try anyway. At least you guys are trying to help him out and that's what matters the most. | |||

Posts: 153 Location: Antigo Wi. | Hey guys, thanks for all the support. I still have a bunch of tackle that had been recently retired, so I am alright in that category. What upsets me the most is that the rod and reel combos were all bought this year, good thing I did not sell the retired combos just yet.

Location: Oswego, IL | dont forget, if those rods and reels were inside your vehicle you can claim it on auto insurance as well. Im sure you have reciepts, or can get them. Good luck! You should keep parking in the same spot, same way, with a deer camera set up on a tree to catch the bastards, not only will they go to jail, you may get all your gear back.

Posts: 114 Location: New London, Wisconsin | actually, there is no coverage available via your auto policy. Regardless of where gear is, it is considered personal property and covered under your Homeowners or Renters policy. Good idea with the deer cam... Good luck
